This market tracks the exact final set score of the professional tennis quarterfinal match between Daniel Altmaier and Daniil Medvedev at the 2026 ATP Halle tournament on June 19. The market resolves based on the complete match outcome in sets.
The market resolves to Yes for the outcome matching the actual final set score of the match. Possible outcomes include Daniel Altmaier winning 2-0, Daniel Altmaier winning 2-1, Daniil Medvedev winning 2-1, or Daniil Medvedev winning 2-0. If the match does not occur before play begins due to injury, walkover, forfeiture, or cancellation, the market resolves to a fair price. If postponed or delayed, the market remains open until the rescheduled match concludes within two weeks. If a player retires, markets that can be unconditionally settled based on completed play resolve accordingly; those that cannot are settled at Fair Market Price at the Exchange's discretion.
Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they serve different purposes and audiences. Sportsbooks set odds to balance liability and profit margins, while prediction markets aggregate trader beliefs about true probabilities. On platforms like Kalshi, odds reflect real-money commitments from participants who profit only if their forecast is correct, creating incentives for accuracy. Sportsbooks, by contrast, adjust lines to manage risk. Both sources can inform your view, but prediction market prices typically embed more granular event-specific information and less commercial markup.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through an order-book mechanism where traders submit bids and asks for each possible exact-score outcome. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of any outcome reflects the last executed trade and pending orders at that level. As new information surfaces—player form, court conditions, or injury reports—traders adjust their positions, moving prices up or down. Outcomes with higher perceived probability trade at higher prices, while less likely scores trade lower. This continuous repricing ensures the market remains responsive to changing expectations.
This market resolves around Jun 19, 2026, once the Altmaier vs Medvedev match concludes and the final score is confirmed. The outcome is determined by the exact set-by-set result of the match, verified against credible public sources. Traders holding shares in the correct exact-score outcome receive their payout, while incorrect predictions expire worthless. The resolution window typically closes shortly after the match ends, allowing time for official confirmation before final settlement.
Several factors can shift odds in this market before the match begins. Injury announcements or withdrawal news involving either player would trigger sharp repricing. Recent tournament results, head-to-head records, and surface preference data influence trader positioning. Court assignments and weather forecasts closer to match day can also move prices, as they affect playing conditions and player confidence. Media reports on player form, mental state, or tactical adjustments may prompt position changes. Once play starts, live score updates and momentum swings will cause continuous repricing as the match unfolds.
