Currently, it's important to note that there aren't widely available, standardized analyst forecasts specifically for weekly eliminations on Dancing With The Stars. However, general entertainment news outlets and fan polls often offer predictions about which contestants are most vulnerable. These sources frequently rely on subjective factors like performance critiques and audience appeal, while this market reflects a collective assessment of probabilities based on real money at stake. Discrepancies between this market and polls can arise due to differing methodologies and incentives.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in each outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the probability of that outcome occurring, as perceived by the market participants. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders buy shares in a particular contestant being eliminated, the price of those shares increases, indicating a higher perceived probability. Conversely, selling pressure lowers the price. This dynamic pricing ensures that the market reflects the latest information and collective wisdom of the crowd.
This market resolves around Oct 21, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the official elimination results from Dancing With The Stars Week 6 are verifiable from credible public reporting. The market will reflect which contestant was actually eliminated during that episode. The resolution will be based on the show's official announcement and will not rely on any subjective interpretation of events. Traders will be able to see the final outcome reflected in the market's settlement details after the show airs and the results are confirmed.
Several factors could significantly impact this market before it resolves. A contestant's performance during the live show is a major driver, with strong performances decreasing the probability of elimination and poor performances increasing it. Unexpected news regarding a contestant, such as an injury or personal issue, could also shift the odds. Public sentiment, gauged through social media and online discussions, can influence trading activity and therefore the market prices. Finally, any changes to the judging panel or show format could introduce uncertainty and volatility into this market.
