These markets track whether specific celebrities will be eliminated from the Dancing with the Stars Season 35 competition before a set date. Elimination is determined by official announcements from the show across various verified channels.
Each market resolves to 'Yes' if the specified celebrity and their partner are officially eliminated from Dancing with the Stars Season 35 before September 23, 2026. Elimination is confirmed through official program broadcasts, the show's website, verified social media accounts, or press releases. The season must declare eliminations for the market to resolve; if the season is canceled without declaring any eliminations, all markets resolve to 'No.' Elimination includes being voted off, evicted, knocked out, removed from further contention, voluntary withdrawal, disqualification, or producer removal. Multiple simultaneous eliminations are counted, and an initial elimination counts even if the contestant later returns. However, eliminations immediately reversed in the same episode, temporary suspensions, medical holds, or finishing as runner-up in the finale do not count. The markets are independent of any affiliation with the governing league, and all trademarks remain the property of their respective owners.
Generally, prediction market odds often diverge from initial analyst forecasts, especially in entertainment events like this one. While analysts might rely on pre-show buzz and perceived star power, this market reflects the collective wisdom of traders who are actively updating their beliefs as new information emerges. It’s common to see the market adjust rapidly based on performance during the live show and subsequent commentary. This can lead to a more accurate prediction of the elimination outcome than relying solely on pre-event analysis and expert opinions. The market’s dynamic nature incorporates a wider range of factors.
On Kalshi, this market is priced using a continuous double auction, meaning traders buy and sell contracts representing each possible outcome. The price of a contract reflects the probability of that outcome occurring, as perceived by the market participants. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and new information becomes available, the prices adjust to reflect the evolving consensus. Essentially, the market ‘discovers’ the probability of each contestant being eliminated through the forces of supply and demand. The higher the demand for a contract, the higher its price, and the lower the implied probability of that outcome.
This market resolves around Sep 23, 2026, following the conclusion of Episode 3 of Dancing with the Stars. The outcome will be determined by which contestant is officially eliminated by the judges and/or audience vote as announced on the show. The result will be verified against credible public reporting from reliable sources covering the event. The market will settle to 100 for the eliminated contestant, and 0 for all others. Traders holding contracts on the winning outcome will receive a payout based on the final market price at resolution.
Several factors could significantly impact this market before resolution. A contestant’s performance during the live show is a major driver; a strong or weak dance could dramatically shift the odds. Public opinion, as reflected in social media and online polls, can also influence trader sentiment. Any news regarding a contestant – such as an injury or personal issue – could also move the market. Finally, the judges’ comments and critiques during the show will be closely watched and factored into traders’ decisions, potentially causing significant price fluctuations in this market.
