A BIG3 basketball matchup between Dallas Power and DMV Trilogy scheduled for July 12, 2026. The market resolves based on which team wins the game.
This market resolves to Yes if either Dallas Power or DMV Trilogy wins the BIG3 basketball game originally scheduled for July 12, 2026. If the game is postponed or delayed, the market remains open and closes after the rescheduled game concludes, provided the reschedule occurs within two weeks of the original date. Should the game be cancelled entirely or rescheduled beyond two weeks from the original date, the market resolves to a fair price for each team in accordance with established rules.
Prediction market odds and traditional sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and manage risk, while prediction markets aggregate the beliefs of traders risking real capital on outcomes. This market may show materially different probabilities than major sportsbooks, particularly as new information emerges or if one venue attracts more informed traders. Comparing both can reveal where consensus is strongest or where outlier views persist.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order-book mechanism where traders submit bids and asks for shares representing each outcome. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each share reflects the marginal probability assigned by the last matched trade, and the spread between bid and ask widens or tightens based on liquidity and conviction. As new information surfaces or sentiment shifts, traders adjust their orders, causing prices to move and the implied probability to update in real time.
This market resolves around Jul 13, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The winning side will be determined by the final result of the matchup, and all shares backing that outcome will be redeemed at full value while the losing side expires worthless. Traders should monitor official announcements and reliable sports coverage in the days leading up to and following the event to anticipate how this market will settle.
Key catalysts include team roster announcements, injury reports, recent performance trends, and head-to-head historical records. Public statements from coaches or players, changes in betting lines at major sportsbooks, and shifts in expert predictions can all trigger repricing. As the event date approaches, any breaking news—such as lineup changes or unexpected developments—will likely cause sharp moves in trader positioning. Monitor sports media and official team communications to stay ahead of market-moving information.
