Unified Resolution Criteria (Consistent across platforms)
Both Kalshi and Polymarket resolve based on the outcome of the Czechia vs. Republic of Ireland FIFA World Cup Qualifier match on March 26, 2026, measured at 90 minutes plus stoppage time, with the same primary resolution source (official governing body statistics or credible reporting consensus).
Primary resolution logic:
Official statistics from FIFA or the governing body; if unavailable within 2 hours of match conclusion, credible reporting consensus
Core resolution logic:
Market resolves YES if Republic of Ireland wins within 90 minutes plus stoppage time.
Market resolves YES if Czechia wins within 90 minutes plus stoppage time.
Market resolves YES if the match ends in a draw within 90 minutes plus stoppage time.
Exactly one of the three outcomes (Ireland win, Czechia win, or draw) will occur and resolve its corresponding market to YES.
All markets exclude extra time and penalties; only regular play and stoppage time count.
Edge cases & Clarifications:
Match Postponement: If the match is postponed, both platforms keep their markets open until the match is completed and resolved based on the actual outcome.
Match Cancellation: If the match is canceled entirely with no make-up game, Polymarket's draw market resolves YES and the win markets resolve NO. Kalshi's structure (which resolves YES for any outcome) would require clarification, but the underlying event is void.
Resolution Timing: Resolution is based on official statistics published by FIFA or the governing body within 2 hours of match conclusion; if unavailable, credible reporting consensus is used as fallback.
Timing:
Resolution occurs upon completion of the match (90 minutes plus stoppage time) and publication of official match statistics by FIFA or the governing body, or within 2 hours thereafter via credible reporting consensus.
