On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism, where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the probability of each outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and new information becomes available, the prices will adjust to reflect the collective wisdom of the crowd. The current market price reflects the aggregated sentiment of all participants on Polymarket.
This market resolves around Oct 4, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the election results are verifiable from credible public reporting. The candidate who receives the most votes in the official election will be declared the winner, and that will determine the settlement of this market. It’s important to note that any recounts or legal challenges could potentially delay the resolution process, but the official election outcome will ultimately be the determining factor.
Several signals or events could significantly impact this market. Major endorsements from influential political figures, shifts in public opinion revealed by new polls, and any significant scandals or controversies involving the candidates could all cause price movements. Unexpected economic developments in Curitiba, or changes in national political dynamics, could also influence trader sentiment. Finally, any events that affect voter turnout, such as changes to voting regulations or major public events, could also move this market before Oct 4, 2026.
