Cupid Esports and Blue Otter compete in map 2 of their North American Challengers League League of Legends match on July 23, 2026. The winner of this individual map will be determined by competitive play according to official tournament standards.
Resolution depends on which team wins map 2 of the scheduled match. If the map is postponed and not completed within 48 hours of the original start time, or if the match or map is cancelled before play begins, the market resolves to fair market price. If a match is forfeited before any play occurs, the market resolves to fair market price. If a map is forfeited before play begins on that map, the market resolves to fair market price. However, if a map begins and is subsequently forfeited, resolution follows the official result published by the governing body or tournament organizer.
Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different trader bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets aggregate beliefs from participants risking real capital on outcomes. This market may show different implied probabilities than traditional sportsbooks, particularly if esports-focused traders on Kalshi have sharper information about team dynamics or recent scrim results than the broader betting public.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order-book mechanism where traders submit bids and asks, and the last executed trade sets the current price. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Prices reflect the collective assessment of all active traders, with higher prices indicating stronger confidence in a particular outcome. As new information surfaces—such as player availability or team announcements—traders adjust their positions, causing the price to move in real time.
This market resolves around Jul 24, 2026, once the Map 2 result is finalized and verifiable from credible public sources. The outcome is determined by the official match result reported by the esports league or tournament organizer. Until that point, traders can buy and sell positions based on their expectations, and all open positions settle according to the confirmed result.
Several catalysts could shift trader sentiment before resolution. Roster announcements, player injuries, or unexpected roster swaps involving either team may trigger sharp repricing. Scrim results or recent tournament performance could reveal new information about team form. Coach statements, patch changes affecting the game, or leaked strategy footage might also influence odds. Additionally, betting volume spikes or large trades from high-conviction traders can accelerate price movement as other participants react to perceived edge.
