This market refers only to the outcome within the second half of regular play plus second-half stoppage time. First-half goals, extra time, and penalty shoot-outs are excluded. The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 24 hours after the event's conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome.
Resolution is based on the total goals scored by Spain and Belgium during the second half of the FIFA World Cup match originally scheduled for July 10, 2026. Only goals scored during the second half count toward this event. Each outcome resolves to Yes if the combined second-half total exceeds the specified threshold (0.5, 1.5, 2.5, or 3.5 goals), and No if the total equals or falls below that threshold. If the game is cancelled or rescheduled to over two weeks away, the market will resolve to a fair price in accordance with the rules.
Polymarket and Kalshi can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Each platform operates distinct order books, user bases, and fee structures, which can create temporary price gaps on the same underlying event. Kalshi and Polymarket may also interpret second-half outcome definitions slightly differently or attract traders with varying information sets and time horizons. Arbitrage traders typically narrow these spreads, but differences can persist if one venue has deeper liquidity or if regulatory or technical factors limit cross-platform trading.
Team news—injuries, suspensions, or lineup changes announced before kickoff—can shift odds significantly, especially if key second-half impact players are unavailable. First-half momentum and scoreline will heavily influence second-half expectations once the match begins; a large halftime deficit often reshapes trader positioning. Weather conditions, referee assignments, and any tactical adjustments communicated by either side may also trigger repricing. Live trading during the first half will be the primary driver of second-half outcome odds as new information emerges.
