Polymarket offers 18 discrete exact-score outcomes plus an 'Any Other Score' catch-all, while Kalshi provides four over/under total goals markets (1.5, 2.5, 3.5, 4.5). Both platforms resolve based on the official final result at 90 minutes plus stoppage time, excluding extra time and penalties.
In the upcoming Brazil Serie B game between Cuiabá EC and AC Goianiense, scheduled for July 23, 2026 at 7:30 PM ET: This market will resolve based on the final score of the Cuiabá EC vs. AC Goianiense match originally scheduled for July 23, 2026 at 7:30 PM ET, considering only the result at the end of 90 minutes of regulation plus stoppage time; extra time and penalty shoot-outs are excluded. If the actual score is not one of the explicitly listed outcomes, the market resolves to "Any Other Score." If the match is postponed, the market will remain open until it is completed; if it is canceled with no make-up game, the market resolves to "0-0." The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome.
Resolution is based on the total goals scored by both Cuiaba and AC Goianiense combined in their professional Brasileiro Serie B soccer match originally scheduled for July 23, 2026. The relevant time period is 90 minutes of regular play plus stoppage time, excluding any extra time or penalty shootout. Each market outcome resolves to Yes if the combined goal total exceeds its specified threshold (1.5, 2.5, 3.5, or 4.5 goals respectively). The official final score as recorded by the governing league determines the resolution.
Prediction markets and sportsbooks price risk differently. Sportsbooks set odds to balance their book and lock in profit margins, often moving lines based on liability rather than pure probability. Prediction markets, by contrast, aggregate trader conviction directly—odds reflect what participants actually believe will happen, with no house edge baked in. For exact-score bets, prediction markets can be more granular and responsive to late-breaking information like team news or weather. However, sportsbooks may offer tighter spreads on high-volume outcomes. Comparing both venues helps you identify value and understand where smart money is positioning ahead of kickoff.
Polymarket and Kalshi can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Each venue attracts different trader demographics, liquidity pools, and fee structures, all of which influence pricing. Polymarket and Kalshi may also weight recent data or team news at different speeds, and their user bases may have varying confidence in certain outcomes. Regulatory and operational differences between platforms can also shift how quickly odds adjust. Additionally, arbitrage friction—withdrawal delays, trading fees, or minimum order sizes—can prevent prices from converging instantly. Monitoring both platforms reveals where consensus is strongest and where outlier pricing may signal opportunity or risk.
Team news—injuries to key strikers or defenders, suspensions, or surprise lineup changes—can dramatically shift exact-score odds. Weather conditions, pitch quality, and referee assignments also influence goal-scoring likelihood. Recent form, head-to-head history, and any off-field drama affecting morale may prompt repricing. Late-breaking tactical announcements or managerial decisions can trigger sharp moves in the final hours before kickoff. Live betting activity and large trades on competing platforms can cascade into price adjustments. Monitor official team channels, injury reports, and expert analysis to stay ahead of market shifts.
