This event group covers the second-half outcome of a FIFA World Cup match between Côte d'Ivoire and Norway scheduled for June 30, 2026. Markets resolve based on which team scores more goals in the second half of regular play plus stoppage time, or whether the second half ends in a draw.
In the upcoming FIFA World Cup game between Côte d'Ivoire and Norway, scheduled for June 30, 2026 at 1:00 PM ET: This market will resolve to "Côte d'Ivoire" if Côte d'Ivoire score more goals than Norway in the second half of regular play plus second-half stoppage time. This market will resolve to "Draw" if Côte d'Ivoire and Norway score the same number of goals in the second half of regular play plus second-half stoppage time. This market will resolve to "Norway" if Norway score more goals than Côte d'Ivoire in the second half of regular play plus second-half stoppage time. If the game is postponed, this market will remain open until the game has been completed. If the game is canceled entirely, with no make-up game, this market will resolve to "Draw". This market refers only to the outcome within the second half of regular play plus second-half stoppage time. First-half goals, extra time, and penalty shoot-outs are excluded. The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 24 hours after the event's conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome.
Resolution is determined by comparing goals scored by each team during the second half of the match, measured from the 45-minute mark through the conclusion of stoppage time. A team wins the second half by scoring more goals than its opponent during this period. If both teams score an equal number of goals during the second half, or if no goals are scored at all, the result is a tie. Should the match be cancelled or rescheduled to a date more than two weeks from the original June 30, 2026 date, the market will resolve to a fair price in accordance with established procedures.
Prediction markets like Polymarket and Kalshi operate on peer-to-peer trading rather than fixed odds set by a bookmaker. On these platforms, prices emerge from continuous supply and demand—traders buy and sell shares representing outcomes, and the market price reflects the crowd's aggregate belief. Sportsbooks, by contrast, set odds to balance their book and lock in profit margins. Prediction market odds often reflect sharper, less-biased consensus because traders have real capital at stake and face no house edge. However, sportsbooks may offer tighter spreads and faster liquidity in mainstream sports. For niche events like this match, prediction markets can reveal sentiment that traditional sportsbooks haven't fully priced.
