Each outcome threshold (0.5, 1.5, 2.5, 3.5, 4.5, and 5.5 goals) resolves to Yes if the combined goal total exceeds that specific threshold.
Prediction markets and sportsbooks price outcomes using different mechanisms. Sportsbooks set odds to balance their book and lock in margin, while prediction markets derive prices from supply and demand among traders with real money at stake. On this market, traders are directly wagering on the exact scoreline, which often produces sharper, more granular pricing than traditional sportsbooks offer for the same event. Prediction market prices tend to reflect longer-term consensus and can shift rapidly as new information emerges, whereas sportsbook odds may adjust more slowly or with wider margins. Comparing the two venues can reveal where smart money is positioning itself.
Team news—injuries, suspensions, or lineup changes—can significantly shift odds as traders reassess each side's attacking and defensive capability. Pre-match press conferences, training-ground reports, and betting-market activity at sportsbooks often precede prediction market moves. Weather conditions, venue factors, and recent form streaks also influence scoring expectations. Late-breaking tactical announcements or unexpected roster decisions can trigger sharp repricing. As kickoff approaches, volatility typically increases as traders finalize positions. Live-trading activity during the match itself may create secondary price movements if early goals or red cards alter the probability distribution of final scorelines.
