Prediction market odds in this market often diverge from traditional sportsbook lines because they reflect the nuanced probabilities of exact scores rather than simple win/draw/loss outcomes. Traders on Polymarket can express finer-grained expectations, leading to tighter or more volatile implied probabilities for specific scorelines. Sportsbook odds typically aggregate broader outcomes, potentially smoothing out extremes. Comparing the two offers a contrast between decentralized trader sentiment and aggregated institutional or statistical models.
