Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different pricing mechanisms. Sportsbooks set lines to balance their book and manage risk, while prediction markets aggregate trader beliefs through continuous price discovery. For this matchup, comparing the implied probability from this market to traditional sportsbook spreads can reveal whether traders expect a different outcome distribution than bookmakers. Both sources offer value, but prediction markets tend to update faster as new information emerges closer to kickoff.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through an automated market maker and peer-to-peer trading, where each possible exact score outcome has its own contract. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in each final score, and the price of each share reflects the collective probability assigned by the market. As more traders participate, prices adjust continuously, ensuring that the odds always represent the latest consensus on the likelihood of each outcome occurring.
This market resolves around Jul 30, 2026, once the match concludes and the final score is verified against credible public sources. The outcome is determined by the exact number of goals scored by each team at the end of regulation time. No overtime or penalty shootout results factor into the resolution; only the score at the end of the standard 90-minute match (plus any injury time awarded by the referee) determines which exact score contract wins and pays out to holders.
Several factors can shift odds in this market before Jul 30, 2026. Team news such as injuries to key players, lineup announcements, or tactical changes will influence trader expectations about scoring patterns. Recent form, head-to-head history, and weather conditions on match day can all sway the probability of specific scorelines. Additionally, betting market movement, expert analysis, and social media sentiment may prompt traders to adjust their positions, causing prices to fluctuate as new information emerges and the match draws closer.
