In the upcoming League Two game between Crewe Alexandra FC and Shrewsbury Town FC, scheduled for September 19, 2026 at 10:00 AM ET: This market will resolve based on the final score of the Crewe Alexandra FC vs. Shrewsbury Town FC match originally scheduled for September 19, 2026 at 10:00 AM ET, considering only the result at the end of 90 minutes of regulation plus stoppage time; extra time and penalty shoot-outs are excluded. If the match is postponed, the market will remain open until it is completed; if it is canceled with no make-up game, the market resolves to "0-0." The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

Generally, prediction market odds tend to reflect a more accurate forecast than traditional sportsbook odds, as they aggregate the wisdom of the crowd. Sportsbooks often incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, and may be influenced by promotional considerations. This market, however, is driven purely by individuals wagering their own capital, incentivizing them to make informed predictions. While sportsbook odds might initially differ, they often converge with prediction market prices as more information becomes available and the event draws nearer. It's a useful comparison to see how collective intelligence stacks up against professional oddsmakers.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism, where traders buy and sell shares representing different possible exact scores. The price of each share directly reflects the implied probability of that score occurring. As more traders participate, the prices adjust to reflect the collective belief about the most likely outcome. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market depth indicates the level of confidence in each outcome, with higher volume typically suggesting greater certainty. This dynamic pricing ensures that the market efficiently incorporates new information and adjusts to changing expectations.
This market resolves around Sep 19, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final score of the Crewe Alexandra FC versus Shrewsbury Town FC match will be used to determine the winning share(s). Any official result published by a recognized sporting authority will serve as the basis for settlement. The platform will verify the result against these sources to ensure accuracy and transparency. Traders will then be able to claim their winnings based on the final, verified score.
Several factors could influence trading activity in this market. Any news regarding team injuries, suspensions, or changes in coaching staff could significantly shift the odds. Unexpected weather conditions at the stadium on match day could also impact the perceived likelihood of certain scores. Furthermore, pre-match analysis from sports commentators and analysts, as well as any shifts in public sentiment, could all contribute to price movements. Even late-breaking news about player form or tactical adjustments could cause traders to reassess their positions and adjust their bets accordingly.
