In the upcoming Copa Sudamericana game between CR Vasco da Gama and Independiente Medellín, scheduled for July 29, 2026 at 6:00 PM ET: This market will resolve based on the final score of the CR Vasco da Gama vs. Independiente Medellín match originally scheduled for July 29, 2026 at 6:00 PM ET, considering only the result at the end of 90 minutes of regulation plus stoppage time; extra time and penalty shoot-outs are excluded. If the actual score is not one of the explicitly listed outcomes, the market resolves to "Any Other Score." If the match is postponed, the market will remain open until it is completed; if it is canceled with no make-up game, the market resolves to "0-0." The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome.

Prediction market odds and traditional sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different mechanisms. Sportsbooks set lines to balance their book and manage risk, while prediction markets aggregate the beliefs of many independent traders competing for profit. This market's odds represent what thousands of participants collectively believe will occur, rather than a bookmaker's calculated spread. Comparing the two can reveal whether professional oddsmakers and decentralized traders have aligned expectations or whether meaningful gaps exist in how they're pricing the outcome.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through an automated market maker mechanism where traders buy and sell shares corresponding to each possible exact score. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The current odds reflect the ratio of shares held in the market's liquidity pool, and every trade adjusts the price according to the AMM formula. As traders express conviction by purchasing shares in their favored outcome, the price moves to reflect that demand, creating a continuous price discovery process that balances supply and demand in real time.
This market resolves around Jul 29, 2026, once the match between the two teams has concluded and the final score is verifiable from credible public reporting. The outcome will be confirmed based on the official result recorded by the relevant sports authorities and widely reported sources. Until that point, traders can continue to buy and sell shares as new information emerges and expectations shift.
Several factors may shift odds in this market before Jul 29, 2026. Team news—such as injuries to key players, lineup changes, or tactical announcements—can alter perceived match dynamics. Recent form, head-to-head history, and any external circumstances affecting either squad will influence trader sentiment. As the match date approaches, late-breaking developments and updated betting consensus from other venues may also prompt repricing. Closer to kickoff, final team sheets and weather conditions could trigger additional movement as traders refine their exact-score predictions.
