Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from those offered by traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks often set initial lines to balance action, while this market’s odds are driven purely by traders’ beliefs about the likelihood of each outcome. If a significant discrepancy exists, it might suggest the market believes a sportsbook has mispriced the event. However, it’s important to remember that both represent probabilities, and neither is guaranteed to be accurate. Examining both can provide a more comprehensive view.
On Predict, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell contracts representing each possible outcome. The price of each contract reflects the collective probability that outcome will occur. As more traders participate and express their views, the prices adjust accordingly. On Predict, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The more a particular outcome is purchased, the higher its price rises, indicating increased confidence in that result. This dynamic pricing ensures the market reflects the latest information and insights from participants.
This market resolves around Sep 13, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the outcome will be determined by which team scores the first goal in the Coventry City FC versus Brighton & Hove Albion FC match. The resolution will be based on official match data and verified against credible public sources. The platform will then determine the winning outcome and distribute payouts accordingly to those who correctly predicted which team would score first.
