PredictionHero - Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA)

Divergence Detected

Issue: Kalshi provides minimal edge-case guidance while Polymarket specifies comprehensive forfeit, delay, and incomplete-match rules. The main match outcome market (Polymarket Q16) also has a unique rule: forfeit/walkover before play begins resolves to 50-50, but forfeit after play begins resolves to the winning team.Hero tip: Polymarket markets are substantially more detailed and trader-friendly. For Kalshi, treat the match as requiring a completed, non-forfeited result to resolve Yes; assume 7-day delay threshold and forfeit-to-50-50 logic align with Polymarket unless Kalshi explicitly states otherwise. For Polymarket's main match market (Q16), note the distinction: pre-match walkover = 50-50, but mid-match forfeit = winning team.

Critical divergence points:

  • Kalshi: Binary yes/no structure with minimal edge-case detail. Resolves Yes if either team wins; no explicit rules for forfeits, walkovers, delays, or incomplete matches. Source: HLTV.org implied but not explicitly stated in Kalshi rules.
  • Polymarket: Comprehensive resolution rules across 8 distinct markets (match outcome, map winners, round handicaps, total maps). Forfeits/walkovers before play = 50-50; delays beyond 7 days without completion = 50-50; mid-match forfeit = winning team. Maps won by forfeit count toward totals only if match is completed. Source: HLTV.org with 2-hour fallback to credible reporting and video evidence.
Our PredictionHero Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA) are there to help users identify potential differences across platforms. They do not replace or supersede the official rules and description of any prediction market. Users are solely responsible for reviewing and understanding the applicable rules and resolution criteria before placing any trade or bet. If you notice a potential inconsistency, discrepancy, or error in an alert, please report it to our team so we can review and improve the accuracy of our data.

Polymarket

This market refers to the Counter-Strike Round 3 match between Yawara Esports and Red Feet in the CCT South America Series 3 Group Stage, initially scheduled for July 2 at 3:00PM ET. This market will resolve to "Yawara Esports" if Yawara Esports win the match against Red Feet. This market will resolve to "Red Feet" if Red Feet win the match against Yawara Esports. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://hltv.org. However, if https://hltv.org has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

Kalshi

Resolution is determined by the outcome of the Red Feet vs. Yawara Esports CS2 match scheduled for July 2, 2026 at 3:00 PM EDT as part of the CCT South America Series 3 2026 tournament. The market resolves to Yes for whichever team wins the match.

Frequently asked questions

Prediction markets like those tracked here operate on real-money incentives, meaning traders who forecast incorrectly lose capital. This mechanism typically produces odds that reflect genuine belief rather than marketing margins. Traditional sportsbooks, by contrast, build in profit spreads and may adjust lines based on liability rather than pure probability. For esports events like this one, prediction markets often move faster and reflect sharp action from professional bettors, making them a useful benchmark for comparing against conventional sportsbook pricing.

Polymarket and Kalshi can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Each platform attracts different trader demographics and operates under distinct regulatory frameworks. Kalshi focuses on binary outcomes—such as whether Yawara Esports wins—while Polymarket's liquidity here centers on game totals. Differences in market depth, fee structures, and user base expertise can cause prices to diverge even when tracking the same event. Arbitrage opportunities sometimes emerge, rewarding traders who spot and exploit these gaps before prices converge.

Team roster changes, player injuries, or last-minute substitutions announced before the match could shift odds significantly. Recent tournament results and head-to-head records between these squads influence trader sentiment. In-game momentum during the series itself—such as a dominant first-map performance—often triggers sharp repricing on live markets. Additionally, any official delays or format changes to the CCT South America Series would prompt immediate market adjustments as traders reassess probabilities.
