Description

This event group covers a Counter-Strike best-of-three match between XI Esport and Fortress in the Dust2.dk Ligaen Group Stage, scheduled for May 4 at 2:00 PM ET. Markets span match winner, map winners, series length, handicap, and granular map statistics (rounds and kills). All markets reference HLTV.org as the primary resolution source with a 2-hour fallback window to credible reporting.

PredictionHero - Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA)

Unified Resolution Criteria (Consistent across platforms)

Both predict and polymarket platforms apply identical resolution logic: HLTV.org authority, 2-hour fallback window, 7-day delay threshold, 50-50 for cancellations/ties/incomplete forfeits, and map-level granularity with consistent edge-case handling.Primary resolution logic: HLTV.org (https://hltv.org); fallback to credible consensus reporting including video evidence if HLTV does not publish within 2 hours of match conclusion

Core resolution logic:

  • Match winner (series): XI Esport wins if they win the best-of-three; Fortress wins if they win the best-of-three; 50-50 if canceled, tied, delayed >7 days without completion, or forfeited before start
  • Match begins but incomplete with mid-series forfeit/disqualification/walkover: resolves 50-50
  • Series length (O/U 2.5 maps): Over if 3+ maps played; Under if <3 maps; 50-50 if canceled, tied, delayed >7 days, or incomplete mid-series forfeit
  • Map handicap (XI -1.5): XI wins if they win 2+ more maps than Fortress; otherwise Fortress wins; 50-50 if canceled, tied, delayed >7 days, or incomplete mid-series forfeit
  • Individual map winner (Map 1/2/3): Resolves to the map winner if completed; 50-50 if map not played, not completed, or series clinches before map is needed
  • Map odd/even rounds: Resolves based on total combined rounds (sum of both teams' round wins) if map is completed; 50-50 if map not played, not completed, or series clinches before map is needed
  • Map odd/even kills: Resolves based on total combined kills (excluding team kills and self-inflicted deaths) if map is completed; 50-50 if map not played, not completed, or series clinches before map is needed
  • Team name discrepancies: Resolved by real-world match identity; recognizable abbreviations, alternate spellings, sponsor tags, and minor formatting differences treated as same team if unambiguous; 50-50 if no reasonable connection or ambiguous match

Edge cases & clarifications:

  • Clinching map not played: If the series result is determined before a scheduled map (e.g., one team wins 2-0 in a BO3), that map is not played. Map-specific markets for that map resolve 50-50.
  • Map remade: If a map is remade, resolution is based on the remade game only, not the original.
  • Forfeit after series begins: If the match begins but one team forfeits/is disqualified mid-series, the series resolves 50-50. If the forfeited map is the clinching map, the series is considered completed and resolves to the winning team.
  • Delay beyond 7 days: If the match is delayed more than 7 days from the scheduled date (May 4) without a winner determined, all markets resolve 50-50.
  • No kills recorded in map: If a map is played but no kills are recorded, odd/even kills markets resolve 50-50.
Timing: Resolution occurs upon match completion as reported by HLTV.org. If HLTV does not publish within 2 hours of match conclusion, credible consensus reporting with video evidence may be used. Markets remain open until final resolution is published. Delays beyond 7 days from scheduled date (May 4, 2:00 PM ET) trigger 50-50 resolution. Our PredictionHero Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA) are there to help users identify potential differences across platforms. They do not replace or supersede the official rules and description of any prediction market. Users are solely responsible for reviewing and understanding the applicable rules and resolution criteria before placing any trade or bet. If you notice a potential inconsistency, discrepancy, or error in an alert, please report it to our team so we can review and improve the accuracy of our data.

Polymarket

This market refers to the Counter-Strike Round 2 match between XI Esport and Fortress in the Dust2.dk Ligaen Group Stage, initially scheduled for May 4 at 2:00PM ET. This market will resolve to "XI Esport" if XI Esport win the match against Fortress. This market will resolve to "Fortress" if Fortress win the match against XI Esport. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://hltv.org. However, if https://hltv.org has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

Frequently asked questions

Prediction market odds on Polymarket reflect decentralized trader sentiment and can differ meaningfully from traditional sportsbook lines. For this Counter-Strike matchup, comparing Polymarket implied probabilities to major esports sportsbooks reveals whether the crowd is more or less confident than bookmakers. Prediction markets often react faster to roster changes, recent performance, or map-specific advantages like Dust2 expertise.
