PredictionHero - Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA)

Divergence Detected

Issue: Kalshi markets contain a logical contradiction: both possible outcomes (G2 Ares wins EPL or Walczaki wins EPL) resolve to Yes, making the market fundamentally unresolvable. Additionally, Kalshi references tournament outcome rather than the specific BO3 match, creating scope ambiguity. Polymarket markets are coherent and specific to the BO3 match.Hero tip: Do not trade Kalshi markets in this group—they are logically incoherent and cannot be settled. All Polymarket markets are resolvable provided the match is played to completion and HLTV.org publishes results within 2 hours of conclusion. Prioritize Polymarket for trading.

Critical divergence points:

  • Kalshi: Markets state 'If G2 Ares wins the European Pro League Series 7 2026... then resolve to Yes' and 'If Walczaki wins the European Pro League Series 7 2026... then resolve to Yes.' Both outcomes map to the same resolution (Yes), creating a logical contradiction. No explicit criteria for No resolution. Scope is tournament outcome, not the specific BO3 match.
  • Polymarket: All markets explicitly reference the specific BO3 match on June 15, 2026, with detailed resolution criteria: match winner (Walczaki vs G2 Ares), individual map winners (Map 1, Map 2), round handicaps (Map 1, Map 2, Map 3 at -3.5/+3.5 threshold), round totals (Over/Under 21.5 per map), map count (Over/Under 2.5), and match completion requirements. Primary source: HLTV.org with 2-hour publication window; fallback to credible consensus. Comprehensive edge-case handling: cancellation, delay >7 days, forfeit, incomplete play, and exact-tie scenarios all resolve 50-50.
Our PredictionHero Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA) are there to help users identify potential differences across platforms. They do not replace or supersede the official rules and description of any prediction market. Users are solely responsible for reviewing and understanding the applicable rules and resolution criteria before placing any trade or bet. If you notice a potential inconsistency, discrepancy, or error in an alert, please report it to our team so we can review and improve the accuracy of our data.

Polymarket

This market refers to the Counter-Strike Round 16 match between Walczaki and G2 Ares in the European Pro League Series 7 Playoffs, initially scheduled for June 15 at 6:30AM ET. This market will resolve to "Walczaki" if Walczaki win the match against G2 Ares. This market will resolve to "G2 Ares" if G2 Ares win the match against Walczaki. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://hltv.org. However, if https://hltv.org has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

Kalshi

Frequently asked questions

Prediction markets and traditional sportsbooks price events differently because they operate under distinct regulatory and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set odds to balance liability and extract margin, while prediction markets rely on trader consensus and real-money stakes to surface true probability. This market's pricing reflects what thousands of independent traders believe will happen, often incorporating faster information flow and sharper analysis than sportsbooks update. However, sportsbook odds may include injury reports or last-minute roster changes faster in some cases. Comparing both sources helps identify mispricings and understand where professional consensus diverges.

Polymarket and Kalshi can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Each platform attracts different trader demographics, contract designs, and liquidity pools. Kalshi's binary yes-no structure on match outcome may appeal to directional bettors, while Polymarket's handicap format (rounds-based) attracts those seeking granular tactical exposure. Settlement rules, fee structures, and UI design also influence which traders migrate to each venue. Arbitrageurs typically exploit these gaps, but temporary price divergence persists due to fragmented liquidity and the time required to move capital between platforms. Monitoring both helps identify when one platform is mispricing relative to the other.

Key catalysts include roster changes, player substitutions, or injury announcements affecting either team's starting lineup. Recent tournament performance, map pool updates, and head-to-head records between these squads often drive repricing as the match approaches. Betting activity on external sportsbooks and social media sentiment from professional analysts can signal shifting confidence. Scrim results or public practice footage may leak information that traders incorporate. Map selection (if announced early) and pre-match interviews revealing team strategy or morale can also trigger significant price movement in the final hours before play begins.
