This market tracks whether the third map of the Counter-Strike quarterfinal between TYLOO and 9z will go over or under 18.5 total rounds, with the over currently at 100.0% on Polymarket. Resolution will be determined by HLTV.org's official match records. The match is scheduled for July 9, 2026 at 4:00 AM ET, and the market will settle based on the actual round count recorded for Map 3 once that fixture concludes.
This market refers to the Counter-Strike Quarterfinal 1 match between TYLOO and 9z in the XSE Pro League Playoffs, initially scheduled for July 9 at 4:00AM ET. This market will resolve to "TYLOO" if TYLOO win the match against 9z. This market will resolve to "9z" if 9z win the match against TYLOO. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://hltv.org. However, if https://hltv.org has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.
Prediction market odds and traditional sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets like this one are driven by traders risking real capital on their beliefs about the outcome. This market may price in nuanced team form, recent roster changes, or map selection details that sportsbooks adjust more slowly. Comparing the two can reveal where informed traders see value relative to conventional betting lines.
On Polymarket, traders set prices by buying and selling outcome shares in an automated market maker system. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each share reflects the collective belief in that outcome's likelihood, with higher prices indicating stronger confidence. As new information emerges—such as team announcements, recent tournament results, or player performance—traders adjust their positions, causing prices to shift. This continuous repricing mechanism ensures the market remains responsive to evolving circumstances surrounding the matchup.
This market resolves around Jul 9, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will reflect which team wins the best-of-three series in the XSE Pro League Playoffs. Once the match concludes and the final result is documented by reliable esports news sources or the league's official channels, the market will settle accordingly and traders will receive payouts based on their positions.
Several developments could shift trader sentiment before this market closes. Roster changes, player injuries, or unexpected roster substitutions announced by either team would likely trigger sharp price moves. Recent tournament results or head-to-head records between the squads may prompt recalibration as new data emerges. Map pool preferences, coaching adjustments, or leaked practice scrim results could also influence positioning. Additionally, broader esports news—such as sponsorship changes or team morale updates—sometimes impacts confidence in a squad's performance trajectory.
