This market refers to the Counter-Strike match between THUNDER dOWNUNDER and Mindfreak in the HyperX & Intel Nationals Group A, initially scheduled for July 16 at 8:00PM ET. This market will resolve to "THUNDER dOWNUNDER" if THUNDER dOWNUNDER win the match against Mindfreak. This market will resolve to "Mindfreak" if Mindfreak win the match against THUNDER dOWNUNDER. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://hltv.org. However, if https://hltv.org has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

Prediction market odds and traditional sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets aggregate trader beliefs through continuous price discovery. This market may show higher or lower implied probabilities than major sportsbooks, depending on whether traders see value the books have missed. Comparing the two can highlight where informed traders believe mispricing exists relative to conventional sports betting lines.
On Polymarket, traders set the odds by buying and selling outcome shares in an automated market maker system. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each share reflects the collective assessment of all active traders; as new information emerges or sentiment shifts, prices adjust in real time. Higher demand for a particular outcome pushes its price up and implied probability higher, while lower demand does the opposite. This continuous repricing mechanism ensures the market stays responsive to new developments and trader conviction.
This market resolves around Jul 17, 2026, once the match concludes and the result is verifiable from credible public reporting. The outcome will be confirmed based on the official match result from the HyperX & Intel Nationals Group A event. Traders holding shares in the winning outcome will receive their payout, while losing positions expire worthless. Until resolution, you can continue to trade your position or hold it through to settlement.
Key catalysts for this market include team roster changes, recent tournament performance, player form and injury status, and head-to-head map history. Scrimmage results or public statements from either team can shift trader expectations. Meta shifts in Counter-Strike strategy or patch updates affecting weapon balance may also influence perceived matchup dynamics. As the event date approaches, any lineup announcements or last-minute roster adjustments could trigger sharp repricing. Live match updates during the event itself will drive final price movements.
