Description

This market refers to the Counter-Strike Upper bracket semifinal 1 match between Team Nemesis and fnatic in the ESL Challenger League Europe Cup #4 Playoffs, initially scheduled for April 29 at 1:00PM ET. This market will resolve to "Team Nemesis" if Team Nemesis win the match against fnatic. This market will resolve to "fnatic" if fnatic win the match against Team Nemesis. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://hltv.org. However, if https://hltv.org has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

Unified Resolution Criteria (Consistent across platforms)

Both Kalshi and Polymarket apply identical resolution logic: official HLTV.org as primary source, 2-hour fallback to credible reporting, 50-50 for cancellations/postponements beyond 7 days, forfeits pre-match, and incomplete maps. Map-level markets (kills, rounds, winners) resolve 50-50 if the map is not played or the series result is already determined.

Primary resolution logic:

Official HLTV.org (https://hltv.org); if results not published within 2 hours of event conclusion, consensus of credible reporting including video evidence.

Core resolution logic:

  • Match outcome (Team Nemesis vs fnatic) resolves to the winner of the BO3 series.
  • Map-specific winners (Map 1, Map 2) resolve based on the team winning that individual map, or 50-50 if the map is not played.
  • Map kills (Odd/Even) resolve based on total combined kills in that map, excluding team kills and self-inflicted deaths; 50-50 if map not played or zero kills recorded.
  • Map rounds (Odd/Even) resolve based on total combined rounds won by both teams in that map; 50-50 if map not played.
  • Games Total O/U 2.5 resolves to Over if 3+ maps are played, Under if fewer than 3 maps are played; 50-50 if match not completed or canceled.
  • Map Handicap (NEM -1.5 vs fnatic +1.5) resolves to Team Nemesis if they win 2+ more maps than fnatic, otherwise fnatic; 50-50 if match canceled, tied, or delayed beyond 7 days without winner.
  • Forfeits, disqualifications, and walkovers occurring after match start count toward series/map results; pre-match forfeits resolve to 50-50.
  • If a map is remade, resolution is based on the remade game only.

Edge cases & Clarifications:

  • Pre-match Forfeit or Walkover: If either team forfeits, is disqualified, or walks over before the match begins, all markets resolve to 50-50.
  • Match Begins but Not Completed: If the match starts but one team wins via opponent forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover mid-series, the match outcome resolves to the winning team. However, map-specific markets and series length markets resolve 50-50 unless the map in question was completed.
  • Clinching Map Forfeited: If the series-clinching map is forfeited (e.g., Team Nemesis leads 1-0 and fnatic forfeits Map 2), the match is considered completed and resolves to Team Nemesis. Map-specific markets for the forfeited map resolve 50-50.
  • Map Not Played Due to Series Clinch: If a team clinches the series before Map 3 is needed (e.g., Team Nemesis wins 2-0), Map 3 markets (winner, kills, rounds) all resolve to 50-50.
  • Postponement Beyond 7 Days: If the match is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date (April 29, 2026) without play beginning, all markets resolve to 50-50.

Timing:

Resolution occurs upon official publication of match results on HLTV.org or, if not published within 2 hours of match conclusion, upon consensus of credible reporting. Markets settle immediately after the final map result is confirmed or the series is clinched.
