PredictionHero - Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA)

Divergence Detected

Issue:

Kalshi and Polymarket resolve fundamentally different events. Kalshi resolves on whether either team wins the ESL Challenger League North America Cup #2 2026 tournament (binary: Yes if match occurs), while Polymarket resolves on specific match outcomes (map handicap, map winners, round/kill counts, series length). The platforms are measuring different settlement values entirely.

Hero Tip:

Do not cross-hedge Kalshi and Polymarket positions in this group — they are not equivalent bets. Kalshi's market is a tournament-level binary; Polymarket's markets are match-level granular outcomes. A Kalshi YES resolves if the match simply happens and a winner is determined; Polymarket markets resolve on specific performance metrics (maps won, rounds, kills) within that match. Winning on Kalshi does not guarantee any specific Polymarket outcome.

Critical Divergence Points:

  • Kalshi: Outlier: Kalshi's market resolves YES if either SportsBetExpert OR Chicken Coop Esports wins the ESL Challenger League North America Cup #2 2026 tournament match. The resolution logic is a simple binary tournament outcome: 'If SportsBetExpert wins the ESL Challenger League North America Cup #2 2026... then the market resolves to Yes. If Chicken Coop Esports wins the ESL Challenger League North America Cup #2 2026... then the market resolves to Yes.' This means Kalshi resolves YES in both possible match outcomes, making it a tautology that resolves YES whenever the match is played and completed.
  • Polymarket: Distinct stance: Polymarket offers 10 separate markets, each resolving on specific match performance metrics: (1) Map Handicap (SportsBetExpert -1.5 vs +1.5), (2-4) Map 1/2/3 Odd/Even Total Rounds, (5-7) Map 1/2/3 Odd/Even Total Kills, (8) Match Winner (binary: SportsBetExpert vs Chicken Coop Esports), (9) Map 1 Winner, (10) Map 2 Winner, (11) Games Total O/U 2.5. Each market has distinct resolution criteria tied to match performance, not tournament outcome. For example, the Map Handicap market resolves 'to SportsBetExpert if SportsBetExpert wins 2 or more maps than Chicken Coop Esports in this match. Otherwise, this market will resolve to Chicken Coop Esports.' The Match Winner market resolves 'to SportsBetExpert if SportsBetExpert win the match against Chicken Coop Esports' and 'to Chicken Coop Esports if Chicken Coop Esports win the match against SportsBetExpert.'
