PredictionHero - Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA)

Divergence Detected

Issue: Polymarket defines a binary team-selection market (QUINTESSÊNCIA vs BESTIA Academy), while Kalshi's resolution criteria state Yes for either team victory, creating a scope mismatch where Kalshi effectively resolves on match completion rather than team outcome.Hero tip: On Polymarket, you are picking a winner. On Kalshi, you are betting that the match will be played and completed with a winner (not canceled, tied, or indefinitely delayed). These are fundamentally different propositions. If you believe the match will be canceled or delayed beyond 7 days, Polymarket resolves 50-50 while Kalshi resolves No. Align your position with the platform's actual intent.

Critical divergence points:

  • Polymarket: Binary winner selection market. Resolves to QUINTESSÊNCIA if they win, BESTIA Academy if they win. Cancellation, tie, or delay >7 days = 50-50. Forfeit before start = 50-50. Key Quote: 'This market will resolve to the team who wins.'
  • Kalshi: Resolves Yes if QUINTESSENCIA wins the match OR if BESTIA Academy wins the match. Implicitly resolves No only if match is not played, canceled, or unresolved. Key Quote: 'If QUINTESSENCIA wins... then the market resolves to Yes. If BESTIA Academy wins... then the market resolves to Yes.'
Our PredictionHero Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA) are there to help users identify potential differences across platforms. They do not replace or supersede the official rules and description of any prediction market. Users are solely responsible for reviewing and understanding the applicable rules and resolution criteria before placing any trade or bet. If you notice a potential inconsistency, discrepancy, or error in an alert, please report it to our team so we can review and improve the accuracy of our data.

Polymarket

This market refers to the Counter-Strike match between QUINTESSÊNCIA and BESTIA Academy in the Gamers Club Liga Série A June Group A, initially scheduled for June 15 at 5:00PM ET. This market will resolve to "QUINTESSÊNCIA" if QUINTESSÊNCIA win the match against BESTIA Academy. This market will resolve to "BESTIA Academy" if BESTIA Academy win the match against QUINTESSÊNCIA. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://hltv.org. However, if https://hltv.org has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

Kalshi

Resolution is determined by the outcome of the BESTIA Academy vs. QUINTESSENCIA CS2 match in the Gamers Club Liga Série A scheduled for June 15, 2026 at 5:00 PM EDT. The market resolves to Yes if either team wins the match.

Frequently asked questions

Prediction markets and traditional sportsbooks price outcomes using different mechanisms. Sportsbooks set odds to balance liability and extract a fixed margin, while prediction markets rely on continuous trading and arbitrage by participants to discover true probability. This market's odds reflect live trader conviction rather than a bookmaker's risk model, often resulting in tighter spreads and faster reaction to new information. Comparing this market's implied probability to major sportsbook lines can reveal value: if prediction markets price QUINTESSÊNCIA significantly higher or lower than conventional betting sites, it may signal mispricing or a difference in how each venue weights recent team performance and roster changes.

Polymarket and Kalshi can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Platform differences in user demographics, fee structures, and contract design can create temporary price gaps. Polymarket attracts high-volume traders and uses an automated market maker model, while Kalshi operates a different matching engine and regulatory framework. Liquidity concentration, withdrawal speed, and platform-specific incentives also influence how quickly each venue incorporates new information. If one platform has deeper liquidity or lower trading costs, arbitrageurs may exploit the spread, but friction and capital constraints often prevent instant convergence. Monitoring both venues helps traders identify which platform is leading price discovery for this match.

Key catalysts include roster changes, player substitutions, or injury announcements affecting either team's lineup strength. Recent tournament results, head-to-head records, and map pool adjustments can shift perceived win probability. Practice scrim results or leaked demos may influence trader sentiment if they suggest one team is underperforming or overperforming relative to expectations. Betting line movements on external sportsbooks can also trigger arbitrage activity and repricing. Monitor official team announcements, esports news outlets, and community discussion forums for updates that might alter the competitive balance before the match begins.
