This market refers to the Counter-Strike Round 4 match between paiN Academy and BESTIA Academy in the CCT South America Series 3 Group Stage, initially scheduled for July 4 at 3:00PM ET. This market will resolve to "paiN Academy" if paiN Academy win the match against BESTIA Academy. This market will resolve to "BESTIA Academy" if BESTIA Academy win the match against paiN Academy. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://hltv.org. However, if https://hltv.org has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

Prediction market odds and traditional sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different pricing mechanisms. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets like this one are priced by traders responding to new information and their own forecasts. Prediction markets can sometimes offer sharper, more reactive pricing because traders have direct financial incentive to correct mispricings. However, sportsbooks may move faster on breaking news or injury reports. Comparing the two can reveal where consensus differs and highlight potential value, though each venue serves different trading styles and risk profiles.
On Polymarket, traders set the price of this market through an automated market maker or order-book mechanism, where each share represents a claim on one outcome. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price you see reflects the cumulative bets of all participants; as more traders buy shares for a given outcome, its price rises and implied probability increases. You can enter limit or market orders, and the platform matches buyers and sellers in real time. Liquidity and spreads depend on total trading volume, so deeper markets allow tighter entry and exit prices.
This market resolves around Jul 5, 2026, once the match concludes and the result is verifiable from credible public reporting. The outcome will reflect which team wins the best-of-three series. Until that point, traders can continue to buy and sell shares as new information emerges—team form, roster changes, or pre-match analysis. After resolution, winning shares pay out at full value and losing shares expire worthless. The exact timing may shift slightly if the match is delayed, but the resolution window is anchored to the scheduled event date.
Several catalysts can shift trader sentiment before resolution. Roster announcements or player injuries affecting either academy team will likely trigger sharp price moves. Recent match results, head-to-head records, and performance in earlier CCT South America rounds provide concrete data that traders will weigh. Coaching changes or tactical adjustments reported in esports media can also influence odds. Closer to the event date, pre-match analysis from respected analysts and community predictions may sway the market. Live updates during the series itself—such as map bans or early round outcomes—will drive intraday volatility as traders adjust their positions.
