PredictionHero - Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA)

Divergence Detected

Issue:

Kalshi and Polymarket use fundamentally different resolution scopes and event definitions. Kalshi resolves on a single binary condition (over/under 2.5 maps played), while Polymarket offers multiple granular markets (match winner, individual map winners, map totals, handicaps, and kill/round odd-even) that each have distinct resolution criteria and edge-case handling.

Hero Tip:

If you trade on Kalshi, you are betting solely on whether 3+ maps are played in the series. If you trade on Polymarket, you have 11 separate markets with different resolution triggers—a match cancellation might resolve some to 50-50 while others remain unresolved. Ensure you understand which specific Polymarket question you are trading before placing a bet, as each has its own forfeit, delay, and completion rules.

Critical Divergence Points:

  • Kalshi: Distinct stance: Kalshi offers a single binary market on map count only. It resolves YES if over 2.5 maps (i.e., 3 or more maps) are played in the MOUZ vs TheMongolz match scheduled for March 19, 2026. The market does not address match winner, individual map outcomes, or any other derivative metric. Resolution source is not explicitly stated in the Kalshi rule provided.
  • Polymarket: Distinct stance: Polymarket offers 11 separate markets covering match winner, individual map winners (Maps 1, 2, 3), map total (O/U 2.5), map handicaps (two variants), and odd/even kill and round totals for each map. Each market has its own resolution criteria, edge-case handling, and tie-breaking rules. All markets cite HLTV.org as the primary source, with a 2-hour fallback window for consensus reporting. Cancellations, delays beyond 7 days, forfeits, and incomplete matches trigger 50-50 resolution for most markets, but some (e.g., Map 1 Winner) resolve based on completed maps even if the series is incomplete.
