PredictionHero - Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA)

Unified Resolution Criteria (Consistent across platforms)

Both platforms resolve to the team that wins the match series or specific maps based on HLTV.org official results, with consistent 50-50 fallback for cancellations, delays beyond 7 days, pre-match forfeits, and incomplete maps.Primary resolution logic: HLTV.org (https://hltv.org) for official match and map results; Polymarket permits credible reporting consensus (including video evidence) if HLTV does not publish within 2 hours of event conclusion.

Core resolution logic:

  • Match Winner: Resolves to the team that wins the best-of-3 series (first to 2 map wins).
  • Map Winners (Map 1, 2, 3): Resolve to the team that wins that specific map, only if the map is played to completion.
  • Map Handicaps (e.g., PDAF -1.5): Resolve based on the map differential; PDAF wins if it wins 2+ more maps than MIBR Academy.
  • Round Handicaps (e.g., PDAF -3.5 on Map 1): Resolve based on round differential on that specific map; PDAF wins if it exceeds MIBR Academy's round total by 4+ rounds.
  • Round Totals (Over/Under 21.5): Resolve based on combined rounds played on that map; Over if total > 21.5, Under if < 21.5, 50-50 if exactly 21.5.
  • Maps Played (Over/Under 2.5): Over if 3+ maps are played; Under if fewer than 3 maps are played.
  • Forfeits, walkovers, and disqualifications before match start: 50-50 resolution.
  • Forfeits, walkovers, or defaults during match (after start): If one team clinches, that team wins; if incomplete, map-specific markets resolve 50-50.
  • Cancellation or delay beyond 7 days without completion: All markets resolve 50-50.

Edge cases & clarifications:

  • Match Canceled or Delayed Beyond 7 Days: All markets (match winner, map winners, handicaps, round totals) resolve 50-50.
  • Pre-Match Forfeit or Walkover: Match winner and all dependent markets resolve 50-50. No team is credited with a win.
  • Forfeit During Match After Start: The team that wins due to opponent forfeit is credited with the match win. Completed maps count toward handicaps and round totals. Incomplete maps resolve 50-50.
  • Map Not Played or Not Completed: Map winner markets and map-specific round markets resolve 50-50. Match-level handicaps and round totals for that map resolve 50-50.
  • Exact Round Differential (e.g., 21.5 rounds): Round total markets resolve 50-50 if combined rounds equal exactly 21.5.
Timing: Resolution occurs upon official publication of final match results by HLTV.org. If HLTV does not publish within 2 hours of match conclusion, Polymarket may use credible reporting consensus. Kalshi resolves to the official match outcome without explicit secondary source provision. Our PredictionHero Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA) are there to help users identify potential differences across platforms. They do not replace or supersede the official rules and description of any prediction market. Users are solely responsible for reviewing and understanding the applicable rules and resolution criteria before placing any trade or bet. If you notice a potential inconsistency, discrepancy, or error in an alert, please report it to our team so we can review and improve the accuracy of our data.

Polymarket

This market refers to the Counter-Strike Round 1 match between MIBR Academy and Patins da Ferrari in the CCT South America Series 3 Group Stage, initially scheduled for June 28 at 9:00AM ET. This market will resolve to "MIBR Academy" if MIBR Academy win the match against Patins da Ferrari. This market will resolve to "Patins da Ferrari" if Patins da Ferrari win the match against MIBR Academy. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://hltv.org. However, if https://hltv.org has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

Frequently asked questions

Prediction markets like Polymarket and Kalshi operate on peer-to-peer order books where traders directly set prices, whereas traditional sportsbooks employ oddsmakers and margin. Prediction market odds often reflect sharper, less-biased consensus because participants have direct financial exposure and no house edge to protect. For esports matchups, prediction markets may price faster than sportsbooks, especially for regional events like this one, since liquidity pools form organically around high-conviction outcomes rather than following fixed sportsbook lines.

Polymarket and Kalshi can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Platform differences in user base, liquidity depth, and fee structures can create temporary price gaps. Polymarket attracts larger volumes of sophisticated traders, while Kalshi's regulatory framework and participant mix may emphasize different risk assessments. Arbitrage traders typically exploit these spreads, but regional esports markets like this one sometimes lack sufficient cross-platform liquidity to eliminate divergence quickly, allowing both platforms to maintain distinct fair-value estimates.

Roster changes, player substitutions, or injury announcements for either team could shift implied odds significantly. Recent tournament performance, map pool updates, or coaching adjustments may also influence trader positioning. Scrimmage results, public statements from team management, and betting action on related markets—such as individual map outcomes—often precede major price moves. Monitor esports news channels and team social media for breaking developments that could alter the competitive balance before the match begins.
