This market refers to the Counter-Strike match between LPH Gaming and Passion Academy in the United21 Group D, initially scheduled for July 6 at 4:00AM ET. This market will resolve to "LPH Gaming" if LPH Gaming win the match against Passion Academy. This market will resolve to "Passion Academy" if Passion Academy win the match against LPH Gaming. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://hltv.org. However, if https://hltv.org has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

Prediction market odds and traditional sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets like Polymarket aggregate trader beliefs through continuous price discovery. For esports events like this one, sportsbook odds may lag behind market-driven pricing, especially as new information emerges closer to match time. Comparing the two can reveal whether professional oddsmakers or decentralized traders are pricing in different expectations about the outcome.
On Polymarket, traders set the odds for this market through an automated market maker mechanism where buying or selling shares directly moves the price based on supply and demand. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The Map Handicap outcome is priced as a binary contract: you either profit if LPH covers the spread or if Passion Academy does. As traders accumulate positions and new information surfaces, the price continuously adjusts to reflect the collective forecast of the trading community, with no fixed odds or closing line.
This market resolves around Jul 6, 2026, once the match concludes and the final map count is verified against credible public sources. The outcome hinges on whether LPH Gaming wins by more than 1.5 maps (covering the handicap) or whether Passion Academy keeps the series closer, with resolution confirmed through official tournament reporting and match records. Early resolution is possible if the match is cancelled or forfeited, though standard completion is expected.
Key catalysts include roster changes or player substitutions announced by either team, recent tournament results and form trends, head-to-head map history, and any injuries or roster issues that emerge. Pre-match interviews and team statements can shift trader sentiment, as can updates on map veto strategy or coaching changes. Odds may also react to betting activity from professional esports analysts or known sharp traders, and any technical or format changes announced by the United21 Group organizers could influence expectations around map count and competitive balance.
