In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

Polymarket and Kalshi operate under different regulatory frameworks, user bases, and market-making mechanisms, which can create temporary price divergence. Polymarket and Kalshi can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Each platform's liquidity pool, fee structure, and order-flow patterns influence how quickly prices adjust to new information. Polymarket may attract institutional traders, while Kalshi draws a different demographic, leading to distinct risk assessments. Arbitrage traders typically exploit these gaps, but friction costs and withdrawal delays can prevent instant convergence. Monitoring both platforms reveals where conviction differs and helps identify undervalued or overvalued outcomes on either side.
Key catalysts include recent team performance data, player roster changes, injury announcements, and head-to-head map history. Tournament bracket positioning and seeding can shift expectations if either team advances or faces unexpected opponents. Betting volume spikes often precede match day as casual traders enter the market. Live in-game events—such as early map wins or momentum shifts—will drive intraday volatility. Community sentiment on social media and esports forums can amplify price moves if major storylines emerge. Monitoring team practice clips, coach statements, and pre-match interviews helps traders anticipate directional moves before the market fully prices them in.
