Description

This market refers to the Counter-Strike Upper bracket round of 16 match between Lavked and SPARTA in the ESL Challenger League Europe Cup #4 Playoffs, initially scheduled for April 25 at 1:00PM ET. This market will resolve to "Lavked" if Lavked win the match against SPARTA. This market will resolve to "SPARTA" if SPARTA win the match against Lavked. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://hltv.org. However, if https://hltv.org has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

Unified Resolution Criteria (Consistent across platforms)

Both Polymarket and Kalshi apply identical resolution logic: official HLTV.org source with 2-hour publication window, 50-50 for cancellations/delays beyond 7 days/pre-start forfeits, and consistent edge-case handling across all market types.

Primary resolution logic:

Official HLTV.org (https://hltv.org); fallback to credible video evidence and consensus reporting if HLTV.org does not publish within 2 hours of match conclusion.

Core resolution logic:

  • Match outcome (Lavked vs SPARTA) resolves to the team that wins the best-of-3 series, or 50-50 if canceled, delayed beyond 7 days without play, or forfeited before start.
  • Individual map winners (Map 1, Map 2) resolve based on which team wins that specific map, or 50-50 if the map is not played due to series clinch, forfeit, disqualification, or walkover.
  • Map-level statistics (odd/even total rounds, odd/even total kills) resolve based on actual game data if the map is completed, or 50-50 if the map is not played, canceled, delayed beyond 7 days, or forfeited.
  • Series length (Over/Under 2.5 maps) resolves to Over if 3+ maps are played, Under if fewer than 3 maps are played; resolves 50-50 if match is canceled, delayed beyond 7 days without play, or ends in a tie.
  • Map handicap (SPARTA -1.5 vs Lavked +1.5) resolves to SPARTA if SPARTA wins 2+ more maps than Lavked, otherwise to Lavked; resolves 50-50 if match is canceled, delayed beyond 7 days, or ends in a tie.
  • Forfeits, disqualifications, and walkovers that occur after play begins count toward match resolution; those occurring before play begins resolve to 50-50.
  • Remade maps resolve based on the remade game only, not the original.

Edge cases & Clarifications:

  • Series Clinch Before Map 3: If one team wins 2-0, Map 3 is not played. All Map 3 markets (odd/even rounds, odd/even kills) resolve to 50-50. Series length (Over/Under 2.5) resolves to Under.
  • Mid-Series Forfeit or Disqualification: If a team forfeits or is disqualified after play has begun, the match resolves to the winning team (not 50-50). Maps won by forfeit count toward the series total and handicap calculations.
  • Pre-Match Forfeit or Walkover: If a team forfeits or walks away before the match starts, the match outcome resolves to 50-50. No maps are played, so all map-level markets also resolve to 50-50.
  • Cancellation or Delay Beyond 7 Days: If the match is canceled or delayed more than 7 days from the scheduled date (April 25, 2026) without play beginning, all markets resolve to 50-50.
  • HLTV.org Publication Delay: If HLTV.org does not publish results within 2 hours of match conclusion, resolution uses credible video evidence and consensus reporting from reliable esports news sources.

Timing:

Resolution occurs upon match completion and official HLTV.org publication (or within 2 hours thereafter via credible consensus if HLTV.org is delayed). Markets remain open until the match concludes or the 7-day delay threshold is reached.
