This market refers to the Counter-Strike match between Keyd and MIBR Academy in the Thunderpick World Championship South American Series #2 Group B, initially scheduled for July 8 at 6:00PM ET. This market will resolve to "Keyd" if Keyd win the match against MIBR Academy. This market will resolve to "MIBR Academy" if MIBR Academy win the match against Keyd. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://hltv.org. However, if https://hltv.org has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

Prediction market odds and traditional sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets like this one are driven by traders risking real capital on their beliefs. This market aggregates the collective conviction of participants who have studied the teams' recent form, roster changes, and head-to-head history. Comparing the two can reveal where informed traders see value relative to conventional betting lines.
On Polymarket, traders set prices by buying and selling outcome shares in an automated market maker. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Each outcome's price reflects the cumulative belief of all participants at any given moment. As new information emerges—team announcements, player performance, or tournament developments—traders adjust their positions, and the price moves accordingly. The continuous price discovery process means odds can shift rapidly in the hours and days leading up to the event.
This market resolves around Jul 9, 2026, once the match concludes and the result is verifiable from credible public sources. The outcome will reflect which team wins the best-of-three series. Resolution typically occurs shortly after the final map is played and the official result is confirmed by the tournament organizer or reliable esports news outlets.
Several catalysts could shift trader sentiment before the match. Roster changes, player substitutions, or injury announcements for either team would likely trigger sharp price movement. Recent tournament results, scrim outcomes, or public statements from coaches and players may also influence the market. Map pool updates, meta shifts in the game, or unexpected bracket changes could reshape expectations. Additionally, betting volume spikes and large trades by recognized sharp bettors often signal new information and can accelerate price swings.
