This market refers to the Counter-Strike Upper bracket quarterfinal 1 match between Just Players and ex-RUBY in the GLuck Yungstar Series #2 Playoffs, initially scheduled for July 17 at 3:00AM ET. This market will resolve to "Just Players" if Just Players win the match against ex-RUBY. This market will resolve to "ex-RUBY" if ex-RUBY win the match against Just Players. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://hltv.org. However, if https://hltv.org has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

Prediction market odds and traditional sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets price outcomes through continuous trader participation and real-money stakes. This market may show higher or lower implied probabilities than major sportsbooks, depending on which venue's participants have superior information or conviction about the match. Comparing the two can reveal where smart money disagrees with conventional betting lines.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through an automated market maker that converts trader buy and sell orders into real-time probabilities. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Each outcome contract trades independently, so the price of one outcome directly reflects the implied probability of that result. As traders deposit capital and place positions, the algorithm adjusts prices to balance supply and demand, ensuring the market remains responsive to new information and shifting expectations about the match.
This market resolves around Jul 17, 2026, once the match concludes and the result is verifiable from credible public sources. The outcome is determined by the official match result as reported by Counter-Strike tournament organizers and confirmed through established esports reporting channels. Winning positions are paid out based on which outcome occurred, with the resolution process typically completing within hours of the final map conclusion.
Key catalysts include roster changes, player substitutions, or injury announcements affecting either team's lineup. Recent tournament performance, map pool strengths, and head-to-head records can shift trader expectations as the match date approaches. In-game momentum during earlier rounds of the best-of-three series will likely trigger significant repricing, especially if one team secures an early map win. Analyst commentary and community sentiment on social media may also influence trader positioning leading up to kickoff.
