Unified Resolution Criteria (Consistent across platforms)
Kalshi and Polymarket both resolve based on the official match result from HLTV.org, with identical logic for map counts, match outcomes, and map-specific metrics (kills, rounds). Both platforms apply the same 7-day delay threshold, forfeit/walkover rules, and 50-50 resolution for incomplete or canceled events.
Primary resolution logic:
Official information from https://hltv.org, with fallback to credible reporting and video evidence if HLTV has not published results within 2 hours of event conclusion.
Core resolution logic:
Match Winner (Polymarket Q6, Kalshi implicit): Resolves to the team that wins the best-of-3 series. If canceled, delayed beyond 7 days without play, or ends in forfeit/walkover/tie, resolves 50-50.
Games Total O/U 2.5 (Polymarket Q10, Kalshi Q1): Resolves YES/Over if 3 or more maps are played; NO/Under if fewer than 3 maps are played. Forfeited/walkover maps count if match is completed. If match canceled, delayed beyond 7 days, or incomplete due to forfeit/walkover, resolves 50-50.
Map Winners (Polymarket Q1, Q8): Map 1 and Map 2 resolve to the team winning that specific map. If the map is completed, resolution is based on that result. If map is not completed, canceled, delayed beyond 7 days, or never played due to forfeit/walkover/series clinch, resolves 50-50.
Map Handicap JS (-1.5) (Polymarket Q12): Resolves to Johnny Speeds if Johnny Speeds wins 2 or more maps than FC Famalicão Esports; otherwise resolves to FC Famalicão Esports. Forfeited/walkover maps count if match is completed. If match canceled, delayed beyond 7 days, or incomplete due to forfeit/walkover, resolves 50-50.
Odd/Even Kills and Rounds (Polymarket Q4, Q14, Q22 for kills; Q16, Q18, Q20 for rounds): Resolves Odd if total combined kills/rounds is odd, Even if even. Team kills and self-inflicted deaths do not count. If map not played, canceled, delayed beyond 7 days, or never played due to forfeit/walkover/series clinch, resolves 50-50. If map is remade, resolution is based on remade game only.
Edge cases & Clarifications:
Series Clinch Before Map 3: If a team clinches the series before Map 3 is needed (e.g., 2-0 result), Map 3 is never played. All Map 3 markets (winner, odd/even kills, odd/even rounds) resolve 50-50. The Games Total O/U 2.5 resolves Under (only 2 maps played).
Incomplete Match with Forfeit/Walkover: If the match begins but one team forfeits or walks over before completion, the match winner market resolves 50-50. The Games Total O/U 2.5 also resolves 50-50. Individual map markets resolve based on completed maps only; incomplete maps resolve 50-50.
Map Remakes: If any map is remade, resolution is based on the remade game only. The original game result is disregarded for all metrics (kills, rounds, winner).
7-Day Delay Threshold: If the match is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date (March 24, 2026) without play beginning, all markets resolve 50-50. If play begins within 7 days but the match is not completed, individual map markets resolve based on completed maps; incomplete maps resolve 50-50.
HLTV Publication Delay: If HLTV.org has not published final results within 2 hours after event conclusion, credible reporting and video evidence may be used as fallback sources for resolution.
Timing:
Resolution occurs upon official publication of the match result on HLTV.org or, if delayed, upon credible reporting consensus within 2 hours of event conclusion. Individual map results are resolved as each map concludes; the overall match result is determined when the series winner is clinched.
