Description

A best-of-three Counter-Strike 2 match between HOTU and KOLESIE in the NODWIN Clutch Series Playoffs, scheduled for June 14, 2026 at 7:00 AM EDT. Multiple prediction markets track the match winner, individual map winners, total rounds per map, and map handicap outcomes across Kalshi and Polymarket platforms.

PredictionHero - Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA)

Unified Resolution Criteria (Consistent across platforms)

All platforms (Kalshi and Polymarket) apply identical resolution logic: official HLTV.org results, 2-hour publication window, match completion requirement, map-by-map independence, and consistent 50-50 tie-breaking for cancellations, delays beyond 7 days, or pre-match forfeits.Primary resolution logic: HLTV.org official match results; credible consensus reporting (including video evidence) accepted if HLTV.org does not publish within 2 hours of event conclusion.

Core resolution logic:

  • Match winner (HOTU vs KOLESIE): resolves to the team winning 2 maps in the BO3 series.
  • Individual map winners (Map 1, Map 2): resolve to the team winning that specific map, independent of series outcome.
  • Map round totals (Map 1, 2, 3 Over/Under 21.5): resolve based on combined rounds played by both teams on that map, including overtime; exactly 21.5 resolves 50-50.
  • Games Total (Over/Under 2.5): resolves to Over if 3+ maps are played, Under if fewer than 3 maps are played; maps won by forfeit/disqualification/walkover count if match is completed.
  • Map Handicap (HOTU -1.5 vs KOLESIE +1.5): resolves to HOTU if HOTU wins 2+ more maps than KOLESIE; otherwise resolves to KOLESIE.
  • Maps must be played to completion with rounds actually played (not forfeit/walkover) for map-specific markets to resolve Over/Under or to a winner; if not completed, those markets resolve 50-50.
  • Forfeits/disqualifications/walkovers after match begins count toward series result; forfeits before play begins or series-level walkovers resolve all markets 50-50.
  • If match is canceled, ends in a tie, or delayed beyond 7 days without completion, all markets resolve 50-50.

Edge cases & clarifications:

  • Exact Round Total of 21.5: If any map's combined round total is exactly 21.5, that map's Over/Under 21.5 market resolves 50-50.
  • Map Not Played or Incomplete: If a map is not played at all, not played to completion, or decided by forfeit/disqualification/walkover rather than rounds played to conclusion, that map's round total market and map winner market resolve 50-50.
  • Forfeit Before Match Begins: If either team forfeits before the match begins (pre-match walkover), all markets including match winner resolve 50-50.
  • Forfeit After Match Begins: If a team forfeits after the match begins and the opponent wins due to forfeiture, the match winner market resolves to the winning team; map-specific markets resolve based on completed maps only.
  • Clinching Map Forfeited: If the clinching map (the map that decides the series) is forfeited, the match is considered completed and resolves to the team winning the series; Games Total and Map Handicap count the forfeited map.
  • Delay Beyond 7 Days: If the match is delayed more than 7 days from the scheduled date (June 14, 2026) without completion, all markets resolve 50-50.
  • Publication Delay: If HLTV.org does not publish official results within 2 hours of event conclusion, credible consensus reporting (including video evidence) may be used as the resolution source.
Timing: Resolution occurs upon match completion and official HLTV.org publication (or within 2 hours thereafter via consensus reporting). Markets for incomplete maps or canceled matches resolve 50-50 immediately upon determination that completion will not occur. Our PredictionHero Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA) are there to help users identify potential differences across platforms. They do not replace or supersede the official rules and description of any prediction market. Users are solely responsible for reviewing and understanding the applicable rules and resolution criteria before placing any trade or bet. If you notice a potential inconsistency, discrepancy, or error in an alert, please report it to our team so we can review and improve the accuracy of our data.

Polymarket

This market refers to the Counter-Strike Round of 16 match between HOTU and KOLESIE in the NODWIN Clutch Series Playoffs, initially scheduled for June 14 at 7:00AM ET. This market will resolve to "HOTU" if HOTU win the match against KOLESIE. This market will resolve to "KOLESIE" if KOLESIE win the match against HOTU. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://hltv.org. However, if https://hltv.org has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

Kalshi

Resolution is determined by the outcome of the NODWIN Clutch Series 2026: KOLESIE vs. HOTU CS2 match scheduled for June 14, 2026 at 7:00 AM EDT. The market resolves to Yes for whichever team wins the match.

Frequently asked questions

Prediction markets and sportsbooks price events differently because they operate under distinct incentive structures. Sportsbooks set odds to balance liability and extract a margin, while prediction markets aggregate decentralized trader beliefs through continuous price discovery. This market reflects real-time consensus from thousands of independent participants, often capturing sharp information faster than traditional books. However, sportsbook odds may include deeper liquidity and tighter spreads on major esports matchups. Comparing both sources helps identify mispricings and validate your own forecast against multiple pricing mechanisms.

Polymarket and Kalshi may show different odds due to variations in user base, contract design, and liquidity depth. Polymarket and Kalshi can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Kalshi's binary structure on match outcomes attracts one trader demographic, while Polymarket's prop-style contracts (such as round totals) appeal to another. Regulatory constraints, fee structures, and order-book depth also influence price discovery on each venue. These gaps typically narrow as the event date approaches and arbitrageurs exploit discrepancies, but they create real opportunities for alert traders monitoring both platforms.
