The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://hltv.org. However, if https://hltv.org has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.
Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and manage risk, while prediction markets like this one are driven by trader consensus and real-money conviction. Prediction markets can sometimes offer sharper or earlier signals than traditional sportsbooks, especially when new information emerges. However, sportsbook odds benefit from professional oddsmakers' expertise and live adjustment. Comparing this market's odds to major sportsbooks can reveal where public opinion and professional estimates diverge most significantly.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through an automated market maker that converts trader activity into real-time probabilities. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Shares representing each outcome trade continuously, and the current price reflects the aggregate belief of all active traders. As more capital flows into one outcome, its price rises and the competing outcome's price falls, maintaining a zero-sum dynamic. The top outcome currently reflects market consensus, and prices update instantly as new trades execute, ensuring the odds always represent the latest collective assessment.
This market resolves around Jun 16, 2026, once the playoff match concludes and the result is verifiable from credible public reporting. The outcome will be determined by the official match result as recorded by the tournament organizer and confirmed through established esports news sources. Until that point, traders can continue to buy and sell shares, and prices may shift based on team performance, roster changes, or other developments that influence expectations. Resolution is automatic once the event occurs and the winner is publicly confirmed.
Several factors could shift odds before the match concludes. Team roster announcements, player injuries, or unexpected lineup changes can significantly alter perceived win probability. Recent tournament performance, head-to-head records, and scrim results often influence trader positioning. Major meta shifts in the game or patch updates affecting weapon balance may favor one team's playstyle. Media coverage, expert predictions, and community sentiment can also drive trading volume and price movement. Additionally, odds typically tighten as the match approaches, reflecting reduced uncertainty and increased information flow closer to kickoff.
