Description

This market refers to the Counter-Strike Decider match between GenOne and Virtus.pro in the European Pro League Series 7 Group D, initially scheduled for June 12 at 6:30AM ET. This market will resolve to "GenOne" if GenOne win the match against Virtus.pro. This market will resolve to "Virtus.pro" if Virtus.pro win the match against GenOne. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://hltv.org. However, if https://hltv.org has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

Frequently asked questions

On Polymarket, the dashboard for the GenOne vs Virtus.pro CS:GO match displays real-time odds and price movements as traders buy and sell shares tied to the outcome. You can monitor the current probability implied by market prices, review historical price charts, and track trading activity over time. The interface shows cumulative volume and recent trades, giving you a live snapshot of how the community is pricing each potential result. This transparency lets you compare current odds against your own assessment before placing a trade.

Prediction market odds and traditional sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and manage risk, while prediction markets let traders freely price outcomes based on their beliefs. For esports events like this one, sportsbooks may have tighter spreads and faster adjustments to breaking news, whereas prediction markets can be slower to react but sometimes capture longer-term sentiment more accurately. Comparing both sources helps you identify potential value and understand how different groups assess the matchup.

On Polymarket, traders set prices by buying and selling outcome shares in an automated market maker pool. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each outcome reflects the cumulative conviction of all participants; as more traders bet on one result, its price rises and the competing outcome falls. This continuous repricing mechanism means odds update instantly as new information emerges. Liquidity depth and recent trade volume influence how quickly prices move, so markets with higher activity tend to reflect consensus faster than thinly traded ones.

This market resolves around Jun 12, 2026, once the match concludes and the result is verifiable from credible public sources. The outcome is determined by the final score and winner of the best-of-three series. Until that point, traders can continue to buy and sell shares as new information—such as team roster changes, recent form, or pre-match analysis—becomes available. Resolution is automatic once the event is confirmed, and all winning shares are redeemed at full value.

Several catalysts could shift odds before the match begins. Roster announcements, player injuries, or last-minute substitutions often trigger sharp price swings. Recent tournament results and head-to-head records between the teams influence trader sentiment. Coaching changes, map pool updates, or leaked practice footage can also move the market. Closer to the event, pre-match interviews and betting line movements from major sportsbooks may prompt traders to adjust positions. Community sentiment on social media and expert predictions can amplify volatility as the start time approaches.
