PredictionHero - Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA)

Unified Resolution Criteria (Consistent across platforms)

Polymarket and Kalshi employ identical resolution frameworks: official HLTV.org as primary source, 2-hour credible reporting fallback, 7-day delay threshold, and consistent treatment of forfeits, walkovers, and incomplete maps as 50-50 outcomes unless the match is fully completed.Primary resolution logic: Official HLTV.org (https://hltv.org); if unavailable within 2 hours of event conclusion, consensus of credible reporting including video evidence.

Core resolution logic:

  • Match winner (Game Hunters vs ALKA): resolves to the team winning the best-of-3 series; forfeits/walkovers/disqualifications before play begins resolve 50-50; mid-match forfeits where opponent clinches resolve to the clinching team.
  • Individual map winners (Map 1, Map 2, Map 3): resolve to the team winning that map if completed; incomplete maps resolve 50-50.
  • Map round totals (Map 1/2/3 Over/Under 21.5): resolve based on combined rounds played including overtime if the map is played to completion; incomplete or forfeited maps resolve 50-50.
  • Games total (Over/Under 2.5): resolves to Over if 3 or more maps are played; Under if fewer than 3; maps won by forfeit/disqualification/walkover count if the match is completed; incomplete match or mid-match forfeit resolves 50-50.
  • Map handicap (GH -1.5 vs ALKA +1.5): resolves to Game Hunters if GH wins 2+ more maps than ALKA; otherwise ALKA; forfeits/walkovers count if match is completed; incomplete match or mid-match forfeit resolves 50-50.

Edge cases & clarifications:

  • Cancellation or 7-day delay: If the match is canceled entirely or delayed beyond 7 days from July 2, 2026 without play beginning or completion, all markets resolve 50-50.
  • Incomplete map: If a map is not played at all or not played to completion (e.g., stopped mid-play), map-specific markets (winner, round total) resolve 50-50. Match-level markets (match winner, games total, handicap) resolve 50-50 unless the match is fully completed with a clinching team.
  • Forfeit/walkover/disqualification before play: If the entire match is forfeited, walked over, or a team is disqualified before any play begins, all markets resolve 50-50.
  • Mid-match forfeit with clinch: If one team forfeits mid-match but the opponent has already clinched the series (e.g., won 2 maps), the match winner and games-total markets resolve to the clinching team; the handicap market resolves based on maps actually won.
  • Exact round total of 21.5: If a map total rounds equals exactly 21.5, the Over/Under market resolves 50-50.
Timing: Resolution occurs upon match completion (all maps played or clinch achieved) or upon expiration of the 7-day delay window. HLTV.org data is checked immediately; if unavailable, credible reporting is used within 2 hours of event conclusion. Our PredictionHero Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA) are there to help users identify potential differences across platforms. They do not replace or supersede the official rules and description of any prediction market. Users are solely responsible for reviewing and understanding the applicable rules and resolution criteria before placing any trade or bet. If you notice a potential inconsistency, discrepancy, or error in an alert, please report it to our team so we can review and improve the accuracy of our data.

Polymarket

This market refers to the Counter-Strike Round 3 match between Game Hunters and ALKA in the CCT South America Series 3 Group Stage, initially scheduled for July 2 at 12:00PM ET. This market will resolve to "Game Hunters" if Game Hunters win the match against ALKA. This market will resolve to "ALKA" if ALKA win the match against Game Hunters. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://hltv.org. However, if https://hltv.org has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

Kalshi

If over 2.5 maps are played in the CCT South America Series 3 2026: ALKA vs. Game Hunters CS2 match originally scheduled for Jul 2, 2026 at 12:00 PM EDT, then the market resolves to Yes.

Frequently asked questions

Prediction markets and traditional sportsbooks price risk differently. Sportsbooks set odds to balance their book and lock in margin; prediction markets reflect what traders actually believe will happen, since they profit or lose based on accuracy alone. This market often moves faster than sportsbooks because traders react instantly to roster changes, scrim results, or team news. Prediction market odds tend to be sharper on niche esports events like this one, where mainstream sportsbooks have limited liquidity. However, sportsbooks may offer better odds on high-volume outcomes due to their scale. Comparing both sources helps you identify value and understand whether consensus leans bullish or bearish on either squad.

Polymarket and Kalshi track slightly different outcomes on this matchup. Polymarket and Kalshi can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Polymarket focuses on the match winner, while Kalshi emphasizes map count, creating natural pricing gaps. Liquidity also varies by platform—higher volume on one venue can tighten spreads and move midprices faster than on the other. User demographics matter too: Polymarket attracts broader crypto traders, while Kalshi draws regulated derivatives players. Funding rates, settlement timing, and fee structures introduce additional friction. Savvy traders exploit these gaps by comparing both platforms in real time, buying cheap on one and selling dear on the other when spreads widen.

Roster changes, player substitutions, or injury announcements can shift odds significantly in the days before the match. Scrim results and leaked demos often leak into the community and trigger repricing. Recent tournament performance by either squad—wins or losses in prior rounds—will influence trader confidence. In-game momentum during the match itself drives real-time swings: a dominant first map win can swing the series odds sharply. Coaching adjustments, map bans, and anti-strat reveals also matter. Monitor team social media, esports news sites, and Discord communities for breaking updates. Late line movement often signals sharp money entering the market, so watch for sudden odds spikes in the final hours before kickoff.
