This market tracks whether G2 will win with a map handicap of -1.5 against Natus Vincere in their best-of-three Counter-Strike match during the ESL Pro League Group Stage. Currently, Polymarket gives a 10.0% probability to G2 achieving this map handicap. Resolution will be based on the results reported at https://hltv.org. Keep an eye on the initial match scheduled for October 3, 2026 at 12:30 PM ET, as this is when the first maps will be played and the outcome of this market will begin to become clear.
This market refers to the Counter-Strike Round 1 match between G2 and Natus Vincere in the ESL Pro League Group Stage, initially scheduled for October 3, 2026 at 12:30 PM ET. This market will resolve to "G2" if G2 win the match against Natus Vincere. This market will resolve to "Natus Vincere" if Natus Vincere win the match against G2. If the match is canceled (not played at all) or ends in a tie, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match is postponed, it must be rescheduled to a start time on or before October 17, 2026 at 11:59 PM ET (14 calendar days after the originally scheduled start of October 3, 2026 at 12:30 PM ET). If, by that deadline, the most recently announced rescheduled start time is on or before the deadline, this market resolves based on the result of the match as played. Otherwise, this market resolves 50-50, regardless of whether the match is subsequently played. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://hltv.org. However, if https://hltv.org has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.
Typically, prediction market odds offer a distinct perspective compared to traditional sportsbooks. While sportsbooks incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, prediction markets, like Polymarket, allow traders to directly set prices based on their beliefs. This can sometimes lead to differences, as the 'wisdom of the crowd' on Polymarket may weigh factors differently than those considered by sportsbook analysts. It's common to see prediction markets reflect information and opinions not yet fully priced into sportsbook lines, particularly regarding team morale or strategic adjustments.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome of the G2 vs Na'Vi CS2 match. The price of these shares fluctuates based on supply and demand, effectively creating a probability estimate. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. This means the price reflects the collective judgment of all participants trading on the platform, rather than a fixed oddsmaker’s assessment. Higher demand for shares indicating a particular team will win drives up the price, signaling increased confidence in that outcome.
This market resolves around Oct 3, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the result of the G2 vs Na'Vi CS2 match is verifiable from credible public reporting. The result will be based on the official outcome declared by the ESL Pro League organizers. The platform will then verify the result and settle the market accordingly, distributing payouts to those who correctly predicted the winner of this best-of-three series. Traders should monitor official sources for the final match results to understand when the market will finalize.
Several factors could influence trading activity and shift the odds for this market. Unexpected news regarding player health or roster changes for either G2 or Natus Vincere would likely have a significant impact. In-game performance during other matches in the ESL Pro League Group Stage, demonstrating a team’s current form, could also move the market. Analyst opinions and pre-match predictions, if they significantly diverge from current market sentiment, could also trigger trading activity. Any major upsets in other concurrent matches might also indirectly affect perceptions of team strength and influence trading.
