This market refers to the Counter-Strike Upper bracket quarterfinal 3 match between G2 and Astralis in the FISSURE PLAYGROUND Group A, initially scheduled for September 8, 2026 at 6:30 AM ET. This market will resolve to "G2" if G2 win the match against Astralis. This market will resolve to "Astralis" if Astralis win the match against G2. If the match is canceled (not played at all) or ends in a tie, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match is postponed, it must be rescheduled to a start time on or before September 22, 2026 at 11:59 PM ET (14 calendar days after the originally scheduled start of September 8, 2026 at 6:30 AM ET). If, by that deadline, the most recently announced rescheduled start time is on or before the deadline, this market resolves based on the result of the match as played. Otherwise, this market resolves 50-50, regardless of whether the match is subsequently played. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://hltv.org. However, if https://hltv.org has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

Typically, prediction market odds offer a different perspective than those found at sportsbooks. Sportsbooks often include a 'vig' or commission, which influences their odds, while this market reflects the collective wisdom of traders. If a significant difference exists between the implied probability on Predict and sportsbook odds, it may suggest disagreement about the likely outcome of the G2 vs Astralis match. It’s worth noting that prediction markets can sometimes be more accurate than traditional forecasts, as they incentivize participants to reveal their true beliefs.
On Predict, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism, where traders buy and sell contracts representing different outcomes. The price of each contract reflects the probability of that outcome occurring, as determined by supply and demand. On Predict, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Traders are constantly adjusting their positions based on new information and their own analysis, which leads to dynamic price fluctuations. The more traders believe an outcome is likely, the higher the price of its corresponding contract will climb, and vice versa. This creates a real-time assessment of the potential results of the G2 vs Astralis CS match.
This market resolves around Sep 8, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the result of the G2 vs Astralis CS match is verifiable from credible public reporting. The winner of the best-of-three series will determine the winning outcome in this market. The platform will verify the result against official sources to ensure accuracy and transparency. Traders who correctly predicted the outcome will be rewarded based on the final market prices at the time of resolution, while those who predicted incorrectly will forfeit their stake.
Several factors could influence the price movement of this market before Sep 8, 2026. Any news regarding player form, potential roster changes for either G2 or Astralis, or strategic shifts in their gameplay could significantly impact trader sentiment. Unexpected results in other matches leading up to the event, or even commentary from prominent CS analysts, could also shift the odds. Major upsets in similar tournaments or the release of updated team statistics are other signals that traders will likely react to, potentially causing volatility in this market.
