Description

This market refers to the Counter-Strike Upper bracket semifinal 1 match between FURIA and Aurora Gaming in the BLAST Open Rotterdam Group A, initially scheduled for March 20 at 2:30PM ET. This market will resolve to "FURIA" if FURIA win the match against Aurora Gaming. This market will resolve to "Aurora Gaming" if Aurora Gaming win the match against FURIA. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://hltv.org. However, if https://hltv.org has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence.

PredictionHero - Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA)

Divergence Detected

Issue:

Kalshi and Polymarket diverge on scope and resolution triggers. Kalshi's market resolves based solely on whether 3+ maps are played in the series, while Polymarket's markets require the match to be completed with a winner determined, and include multiple conditional 50-50 resolution scenarios that Kalshi does not address.

Hero Tip:

If you bet on Kalshi's 'over 2.5 maps' market, your outcome depends only on map count. If you bet on Polymarket's match-winner or map-specific markets, your outcome also depends on match completion, lack of cancellation beyond 7 days, and absence of forfeit/walkover scenarios. A match that is delayed beyond 7 days or ends in forfeit will resolve differently: Kalshi may still resolve based on maps played, while Polymarket will resolve 50-50.

Critical Divergence Points:

  • Kalshi: Distinct stance: Kalshi's single market resolves YES if 3 or more maps are played, with no mention of match completion, cancellation, delay, or forfeit conditions. The rule states 'If over 2.5 maps are played in the BLAST Open Rotterdam 2026: FURIA vs. Aurora Gaming CS2 match originally scheduled for Mar 20, 2026, then the market resolves to Yes' — a purely quantitative threshold with no contingency clauses.
  • Polymarket: Distinct stance: Polymarket's 10 markets all include extensive conditional resolution rules: cancellation beyond 7 days resolves 50-50, forfeits/disqualifications/walkovers resolve 50-50, and match completion is required for most outcomes. For example, the match-winner market states 'If the match is canceled (not played at all for any reason), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50' — a fundamentally different framework than Kalshi's binary map-count logic.
