PredictionHero - Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA)

Divergence Detected

Issue: Kalshi's market contains a logical contradiction: both possible match outcomes (QUAZAR win and ex-RUBY win) are mapped to the same resolution (Yes), eliminating any meaningful No outcome and rendering the market unresolvable. Polymarket's markets are logically sound and well-defined.Hero tip: Do not trade on Kalshi's market. It is fundamentally broken and cannot be settled fairly. Use only Polymarket's four markets: Series Winner, Map 1 Winner, Map 2 Winner, and Games Total O/U 2.5. These are consistent, clear, and resolvable.

Critical divergence points:

  • Kalshi: Market definition states: 'If QUAZAR wins... resolves to Yes' AND 'If ex-RUBY wins... resolves to Yes.' This is a tautology with no No outcome. The market is logically incoherent and unresolvable.
  • Polymarket: Four distinct markets with clear binary outcomes: (1) Series Winner: ex-RUBY or QUAZAR; (2) Map 1 Winner: ex-RUBY or QUAZAR; (3) Map 2 Winner: ex-RUBY or QUAZAR; (4) Games Total O/U 2.5: Over (3+ maps) or Under (<3 maps). All use HLTV.org as primary source with 2-hour fallback to credible consensus. Edge cases (cancellation, delay >7 days, incomplete matches, forfeits) consistently resolve to 50-50 or are explicitly handled.
Our PredictionHero Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA) are there to help users identify potential differences across platforms. They do not replace or supersede the official rules and description of any prediction market. Users are solely responsible for reviewing and understanding the applicable rules and resolution criteria before placing any trade or bet. If you notice a potential inconsistency, discrepancy, or error in an alert, please report it to our team so we can review and improve the accuracy of our data.

Polymarket

This market refers to the Counter-Strike match between ex-RUBY and QUAZAR in the GLuck Yungstar Closed Qualifier: Series #2 Group B, initially scheduled for June 26 at 10:00AM ET. This market will resolve to "ex-RUBY" if ex-RUBY win the match against QUAZAR. This market will resolve to "QUAZAR" if QUAZAR win the match against ex-RUBY. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://hltv.org. However, if https://hltv.org has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

Frequently asked questions

Prediction markets and traditional sportsbooks price events differently due to their distinct mechanisms. Sportsbooks set odds to balance liability and extract a fixed margin, while prediction markets aggregate decentralized trader beliefs in real time. This market's odds may diverge from sportsbook lines because prediction traders have different risk appetites, information access, and time horizons. Additionally, prediction markets often attract sharp bettors seeking inefficiencies, which can push prices closer to true probability. Comparing this market's implied odds to major sportsbook lines can reveal where consensus differs and highlight potential value.
