Polymarket and Kalshi can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Each platform operates independent order books and attracts different trader demographics, leading to natural price variations. Kalshi and Polymarket may also structure their outcomes differently—for instance, one platform might offer map-level granularity while another focuses on overall match winners. Arbitrage opportunities and liquidity imbalances between venues can widen spreads. Monitoring both platforms helps identify mispricings and informs sharper trading decisions.
Key catalysts include roster changes, recent team performance trends, and head-to-head map statistics. Player injuries, stand-in announcements, or coaching adjustments can shift implied odds significantly. Live match events—such as early map results in a best-of-three format—will trigger sharp repricing as traders update their beliefs. Pre-match commentary from analysts and betting syndicates may also influence positioning. Monitor team social media and esports news outlets for breaking developments.
