Description

This market refers to the Counter-Strike Round 1 match between ECSTATIC and TNC in the Conquest of Prague Online Stage Group Stage, initially scheduled for April 12 at 11:00AM ET. This market will resolve to "ECSTATIC" if ECSTATIC win the match against TNC. This market will resolve to "TNC" if TNC win the match against ECSTATIC. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://hltv.org. However, if https://hltv.org has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

PredictionHero - Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA)

Issue:

Kalshi's match-winner market resolves YES for either team outcome (TNC or ECSTATIC winning), creating logical impossibility, while Polymarket correctly resolves to the actual match winner. Additionally, Polymarket includes detailed forfeit/walkover and delay rules absent from Kalshi.

Hero Tip:

Avoid the Kalshi match-winner market entirely — it resolves YES regardless of outcome, making it unresolvable. Trade only on Polymarket's match-winner market, which has clear binary resolution (ECSTATIC or TNC) and comprehensive edge-case handling. For the Odd/Even markets, both platforms align on HLTV as source and 50-50 resolution for cancellations/forfeits.

Critical Divergence Points:

  • Kalshi: Outlier: The match-winner market contains a critical logical flaw — it states 'If TNC wins... then the market resolves to Yes' AND 'If ECSTATIC wins... then the market resolves to Yes', meaning the market resolves YES for all possible outcomes. This makes the market fundamentally unresolvable. The Odd/Even markets (Rounds and Kills) are not present on Kalshi.
  • Polymarket: Aligned with standard prediction market logic: The match-winner market resolves to 'ECSTATIC' if ECSTATIC wins, 'TNC' if TNC wins, and 50-50 if canceled, tied, delayed beyond 7 days, or ends in forfeit/disqualification/walkover before start. Polymarket also includes three additional markets (Odd/Even Rounds and Odd/Even Kills on Map 1) with detailed resolution rules tied to HLTV as primary source and 50-50 fallback for cancellations, forfeits, or series-clinch scenarios.
