This market refers to the Counter-Strike Upper bracket quarterfinal 2 match between Dark Moon and Spirit Academy Green in the ESEA Advanced Europe Playoffs, initially scheduled for September 9, 2026 at 1:30 PM ET. This market will resolve to "Dark Moon" if Dark Moon win the match against Spirit Academy Green. This market will resolve to "Spirit Academy Green" if Spirit Academy Green win the match against Dark Moon. If the match is canceled (not played at all) or ends in a tie, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match is postponed, it must be rescheduled to a start time on or before September 23, 2026 at 11:59 PM ET (14 calendar days after the originally scheduled start of September 9, 2026 at 1:30 PM ET). If, by that deadline, the most recently announced rescheduled start time is on or before the deadline, this market resolves based on the result of the match as played. Otherwise, this market resolves 50-50, regardless of whether the match is subsequently played. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://hltv.org. However, if https://hltv.org has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can sometimes differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks often set initial lines based on expert analysis and incorporate a margin for profit, while this market allows traders to freely adjust probabilities based on their own research and information. If there is a significant discrepancy between the implied probability on Polymarket and sportsbook offerings, it may suggest that the market perceives information differently or that one venue has identified a mispricing. It's always valuable to compare both to form a well-rounded perspective.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the likelihood of a particular outcome. The price of these shares fluctuates based on supply and demand, effectively creating a real-time probability estimate. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. This means the price reflects the collective intelligence of the traders participating in the market, and can shift rapidly as new information becomes available or sentiment changes. The current price reflects what traders are willing to pay for a share representing the outcome.
This market resolves around Sep 9, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Resolution will be based on the official results of the Counter-Strike: Dark Moon vs Spirit Academy Green (BO3) match in the ESEA Advanced Europe Playoffs. The winning team, as determined by the official tournament organizers, will dictate the settlement of this market. Traders will be able to claim their winnings once the results are verified and reported.
Several factors could influence trading activity and shift the odds in this market. Any news regarding team rosters, player form, strategic changes, or even unexpected in-game developments during the match itself could trigger significant price movements. Major upsets in other related matches or broader shifts in the competitive CS:GO landscape could also impact trader sentiment. Additionally, large trades on Polymarket by influential traders could create momentum and further move the market, so monitoring trading volume is key.
