Description

This event group covers a best-of-three Counter-Strike match between BESTIA Academy and MAGICOS in the CCT South America Series 3 Group Stage, scheduled for June 30, 2026 at 3:00 PM EDT. PredictionHero - Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA)

Unified Resolution Criteria (Consistent across platforms)

All platforms apply identical resolution logic: HLTV.org as primary source with 2-hour fallback to consensus, 50-50 for incomplete maps or cancellations, and completion-based thresholds for all market types.Primary resolution logic: Official HLTV.org; if results not published within 2 hours of event conclusion, consensus of credible reporting including video evidence may be used.

Core resolution logic:

  • Match winner (BO3) resolves to the team winning 2 maps; if match begins but is not completed and one team wins via opponent forfeiture/disqualification/walkover, that team wins; if match is forfeited/disqualified/walks over before start, market resolves 50-50.
  • Individual map winners resolve based on which team wins that map if played to completion; if map is not completed or decided by forfeit/disqualification/walkover, market resolves 50-50.
  • Map round handicaps (e.g., -3.5 / +3.5) resolve based on actual rounds played on that map; BESTIA Academy wins handicap if their round total exceeds opponent by 4 or more; if map not played to completion or decided by forfeit, market resolves 50-50.
  • Map total rounds (Over/Under 21.5) resolve based on combined round count on that map; if map not played to completion or decided by forfeit, market resolves 50-50.
  • Games total (Over/Under 2.5) resolves Over if 3 or more maps are played, Under if fewer than 3; forfeits/disqualifications/walkovers count if match is completed; if match not completed or cancelled, market resolves 50-50.
  • Map handicap (-1.5 / +1.5) resolves to BESTIA Academy if they win 2 or more maps than MAGICOS; forfeits/disqualifications/walkovers count toward map count if match is completed; if match not completed, ends in tie, or cancelled, market resolves 50-50.

Edge cases & clarifications:

  • Cancellation or Delay Beyond 7 Days: If match is cancelled or delayed beyond 7 days from scheduled date (June 30, 2026) without completion, all markets resolve 50-50.
  • Forfeit/Disqualification/Walkover Before Match Start: If match is forfeited, disqualified, or walked over before the start (team withdraws automatically), match winner and map-specific markets resolve 50-50; however, if match begins and one team wins due to opponent forfeiture mid-match, the advancing team wins the match winner market.
  • Incomplete Map or Forfeit Mid-Map: If a map is not played to completion or is decided by forfeit/disqualification/walkover rather than rounds played to conclusion, map winner, round handicap, and total rounds markets for that map resolve 50-50.
  • Clinching Map Forfeited: If the match ends due to the clinching map being forfeited, this counts as a completed match; map handicap and games total markets resolve based on the forfeited map being counted toward the series.
  • Source Delay and Fallback: If HLTV.org does not publish final results within 2 hours after event conclusion, resolution may use consensus of credible reporting including video evidence.
Timing: Resolution occurs upon completion of the match (when one team wins 2 maps in the BO3 series) or upon the scheduled date passing with cancellation/delay beyond 7 days. Individual map markets resolve upon completion of that specific map. Primary source (HLTV.org) must publish within 2 hours of event conclusion; if not, consensus reporting is used. Our PredictionHero Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA) are there to help users identify potential differences across platforms. They do not replace or supersede the official rules and description of any prediction market. Users are solely responsible for reviewing and understanding the applicable rules and resolution criteria before placing any trade or bet. If you notice a potential inconsistency, discrepancy, or error in an alert, please report it to our team so we can review and improve the accuracy of our data.

Polymarket

This market refers to the Counter-Strike Round 2 match between BESTIA Academy and MAGICOS in the CCT South America Series 3 Group Stage, initially scheduled for June 30 at 3:00PM ET. This market will resolve to "BESTIA Academy" if BESTIA Academy win the match against MAGICOS. This market will resolve to "MAGICOS" if MAGICOS win the match against BESTIA Academy. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://hltv.org. However, if https://hltv.org has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

Kalshi

Frequently asked questions

Prediction markets and traditional sportsbooks price esports differently. Sportsbooks rely on oddsmakers' models and manage risk through margin; prediction markets aggregate trader beliefs in real time, often reflecting sharper or more volatile pricing. This market's odds may diverge from sportsbook lines because traders can update positions continuously, and liquidity concentrates on specific outcomes. For esports like Counter-Strike, prediction markets sometimes capture team form and map selection nuances faster than traditional venues update their lines.

Polymarket and Kalshi can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Polymarket and Kalshi operate under different market structures and user bases. Polymarket focuses on binary match outcomes, while Kalshi emphasizes handicap-based round spreads, naturally producing distinct pricing. Liquidity distribution, trader expertise, and order-flow timing also vary between platforms. These structural differences mean the same underlying event can trade at different implied probabilities, creating arbitrage opportunities for sharp traders monitoring both venues simultaneously.

Key catalysts include roster changes, recent map performance data, and head-to-head results in prior CCT rounds. Player injuries or lineup substitutions announced before the match can shift odds sharply. Live map bans and early-round momentum during the series itself will drive intraday repricing, especially on Kalshi's handicap contracts. Media coverage, team statements, and betting syndicates entering either side can also trigger volatility. Monitor official team social channels and esports news for breaking updates that traders will immediately price in.
