Description

This market refers to the Counter-Strike Round 1 match between BESTIA Academy and Keyd in the CCT South America Series #1 Group Stage, initially scheduled for April 29 at 3:00PM ET. This market will resolve to "BESTIA Academy" if BESTIA Academy win the match against Keyd. This market will resolve to "Keyd" if Keyd win the match against BESTIA Academy. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://hltv.org. However, if https://hltv.org has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

PredictionHero - Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA)

Divergence Detected

Issue:

Polymarket defines comprehensive edge-case handling (50-50 on forfeit, cancellation, tie, or delay beyond 7 days) across 10 granular markets. Kalshi defines only a binary Yes/No market with no explicit edge-case logic, creating a logical gap: Polymarket's series-winner market can resolve to 50-50, but Kalshi's binary structure cannot natively accommodate that outcome.

Hero Tip:

Before the match, confirm with Kalshi whether forfeits, cancellations, ties, or delays beyond 7 days trigger a No resolution, a refund, or a 50-50 split. If Kalshi's fallback differs from Polymarket's 50-50 rule, traders holding positions on both platforms face divergent payouts in edge-case scenarios. Hedge accordingly or request clarification from Kalshi support.

Critical Divergence Points:

  • Polymarket: Comprehensive 10-market suite with explicit edge-case handling. Series winner (Market 1) resolves to 50-50 if match is canceled, ends in tie, delayed beyond 7 days without completion, or if match begins but is not completed due to forfeit/disqualification/walkover. Individual map winners (Markets 4, 14) resolve to 50-50 if map is not completed. Games Total O/U 2.5 (Market 6) resolves to 50-50 if match is canceled, ends in tie, or delayed beyond 7 days without winner determined; resolves to 50-50 if match begins but is not completed due to forfeit/disqualification/walkover. Map Handicap (Market 8) follows same 50-50 logic. Odd/Even markets (Maps 1, 2, 3 rounds and kills) resolve to 50-50 if map is not played or series is clinched before map is needed. Quote: 'If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50.'
  • Kalshi: Single binary market: 'If BESTIA Academy wins... then Yes. If Keyd wins... then Yes.' No explicit resolution logic for cancellations, ties, forfeits, walkovers, or delays. No fallback rule stated for scenarios where neither team wins outright. Quote: 'If BESTIA Academy wins the CCT South America Series #1 2026: Keyd vs. BESTIA Academy CS2 match originally scheduled for Apr 29, 2026 at 3:00 PM EDT, then the market resolves to Yes. If Keyd wins... then the market resolves to Yes.'
