PredictionHero - Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA)

Divergence Detected

Issue: Forfeit/walkover treatment differs fundamentally between platforms. Limitless awards the declared winner in all forfeit scenarios, while Polymarket splits 50-50 if forfeit occurs before match start. Additionally, delay thresholds diverge: Limitless uses August 2 deadline, Polymarket uses 7-day threshold from scheduled date.Hero tip: Traders should note that pre-match forfeits resolve differently: Limitless favors the winner, Polymarket treats as 50-50. For the match winner market, understand your platform's forfeit rule before trading. For Map 1 markets, any forfeit or non-completion triggers 50-50 on Polymarket, while Limitless has no explicit Map 1 rule stated. Cross-platform arbitrage risk exists if a forfeit is declared.

Critical divergence points:

  • Limitless: Match winner resolves to the team declared winner if either team loses by forfeit, disqualification, or walkover for any reason. No explicit delay threshold stated; resolves to Other if no official result by August 2, 2026, 23:59 UTC. Key quote: 'If either team loses by forfeit, disqualification, or walkover for any reason, this market will resolve to the team declared the winner.'
  • Polymarket: Match winner resolves 50-50 if match ends in forfeit, disqualification, or walkover before start. If match begins and one team wins via opponent forfeit/disqualification/walkover, resolves to the winning team. Delay threshold is 7 days from scheduled date without winner determined. Map 1 markets resolve 50-50 if Map 1 is not played to completion or decided by forfeit/disqualification/walkover. Key quote: 'If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50.'
Our PredictionHero Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA) are there to help users identify potential differences across platforms. They do not replace or supersede the official rules and description of any prediction market. Users are solely responsible for reviewing and understanding the applicable rules and resolution criteria before placing any trade or bet. If you notice a potential inconsistency, discrepancy, or error in an alert, please report it to our team so we can review and improve the accuracy of our data.

Polymarket

This market refers to the Counter-Strike Round 2 match between B8 and Team Nemesis in the XSE Pro League Group Stage, initially scheduled for July 2 at 9:00AM ET. This market will resolve to "B8" if B8 win the match against Team Nemesis. This market will resolve to "Team Nemesis" if Team Nemesis win the match against B8. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://hltv.org. However, if https://hltv.org has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

Limitless

This market refers to the match between B8 and Team Nemesis in the XSE Pro League 2026, scheduled for Jul 2, 2026. This market resolves to "YES" if the team named in the title wins in the specified match. Otherwise, the market will resolve to "NO." If either team loses by forfeit, disqualification, or walkover for any reason, this market will resolve to the team declared the winner, regardless of whether the match has started or when the decision is made. If the match is not completed with an official result by August 2, 2026, 23:59 UTC, the market will resolve to "Other."

Frequently asked questions

Prediction markets and traditional sportsbooks price events differently. Sportsbooks set odds to balance their book and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets reflect live consensus from thousands of independent traders. This market's odds emerge from supply and demand rather than a bookmaker's model, often capturing sharper information earlier. Comparing this market's implied probability to major esports sportsbooks can reveal value opportunities, though prediction market prices tend to converge toward true likelihood as resolution approaches.

Polymarket and Limitless can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Each platform operates independently with its own liquidity pools, user base, and fee structures. Polymarket and Limitless may see different order flow timing, with some traders favoring one venue over another based on interface, trading limits, or withdrawal preferences. Arbitrage traders typically narrow these gaps, but temporary spreads can persist during low-liquidity windows or when new information reaches one platform faster than the other.

Several catalysts may shift odds before resolution. Player roster announcements, injury reports, or roster changes for either team can trigger repricing. Recent match results, map pool updates, or coaching changes may influence trader sentiment. Pre-match interviews or official statements from team management could also move the needle. Additionally, broader esports news—such as sponsorship changes or league announcements—occasionally impacts confidence in specific squads. Monitor team social media and esports news outlets for developments that might affect this market's trajectory.
