This event group covers a Counter-Strike Best-of-3 match between Atreides and eternal premium scheduled for July 8, 2026 at 4:00 AM EDT in the European Pro League Series 8 Group C. Markets span match winner, individual map winners, round handicaps, and total round counts across all three maps.
This market refers to the Counter-Strike match between Atreides and eternal premium in the European Pro League Series 8 Group C, initially scheduled for July 8 at 4:00AM ET. This market will resolve to "Atreides" if Atreides win the match against eternal premium. This market will resolve to "eternal premium" if eternal premium win the match against Atreides. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://hltv.org. However, if https://hltv.org has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.
The market resolves based on the winner of the eternal premium vs. Atreides CS2 match scheduled for July 8, 2026 at 4:00 AM EDT in the European Pro League Series 8 2026. If eternal premium wins the match, the market resolves to Yes. If Atreides wins the match, the market also resolves to Yes. This structure indicates that the market is designed to capture the match outcome, with resolution contingent on either team's victory in this scheduled European Pro League Series 8 competition.
Polymarket and Kalshi can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Each platform attracts different trader bases, uses distinct contract designs, and operates under separate regulatory frameworks. Kalshi's binary outcome structure differs fundamentally from Polymarket's handicap-based contracts, meaning the two are not directly comparable despite tracking the same underlying event. Liquidity depth, fee structures, and user demographics also drive pricing divergence. Arbitrage opportunities may exist between platforms, but transaction costs and settlement timing typically prevent perfect price alignment across prediction markets.
Team roster changes, recent tournament performance, and head-to-head historical records typically influence prediction market pricing for esports matchups. Player injuries, stand-in announcements, or coaching changes closer to the fixture date can trigger sharp repricing. Map pool updates and meta shifts in the competitive Counter-Strike landscape may also shift trader sentiment. Live match momentum during the series itself—particularly after map one results—often drives significant intraday volatility as new information becomes available to the market.
