PredictionHero - Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA)

Divergence Detected

Issue: Kalshi market contains a logical contradiction where both possible match outcomes (ASTRAL win and Esport BERG win) resolve to the same result (Yes), making the market fundamentally unresolvable and creating data integrity failure.Hero tip: The Kalshi market is broken and should not be traded. Polymarket's three markets (match winner, Map 1 over/under rounds, Map 1 handicap) are logically coherent and mutually exclusive. Use Polymarket as the authoritative settlement source. Kalshi requires immediate correction to specify distinct Yes/No conditions for each team outcome.

Critical divergence points:

  • Polymarket: Three coherent markets: (1) Match winner resolves to ASTRAL or Esport BERG based on match outcome; (2) Map 1 total rounds resolve Over/Under 21.5 based on combined round count; (3) Map 1 handicap resolves to ASTRAL if they win by 4+ rounds, else Esport BERG. All outcomes are mutually exclusive. Key Quote: 'This market will resolve to ASTRAL if ASTRAL win the match against Esport BERG. This market will resolve to Esport BERG if Esport BERG win the match against ASTRAL.'
  • Kalshi: Single market with logical contradiction: states 'If Esport BERG wins...then resolves to Yes' AND 'If ASTRAL wins...then resolves to Yes'. Both possible outcomes map to identical resolution (Yes), making it impossible to distinguish between them or settle the market. Key Quote: 'If Esport BERG wins...then the market resolves to Yes. If ASTRAL wins...then the market resolves to Yes.'
Our PredictionHero Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA) are there to help users identify potential differences across platforms. They do not replace or supersede the official rules and description of any prediction market. Users are solely responsible for reviewing and understanding the applicable rules and resolution criteria before placing any trade or bet. If you notice a potential inconsistency, discrepancy, or error in an alert, please report it to our team so we can review and improve the accuracy of our data.

Polymarket

This market refers to the Counter-Strike match between ASTRAL and Esport BERG in the Urban Riga Open #5 Group A, initially scheduled for June 28 at 12:30PM ET. This market will resolve to "ASTRAL" if ASTRAL win the match against Esport BERG. This market will resolve to "Esport BERG" if Esport BERG win the match against ASTRAL. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://hltv.org. However, if https://hltv.org has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

Kalshi

Resolution is determined by the final result of the Urban Riga Open #5 2026 CS2 match between Esport BERG and ASTRAL scheduled for June 28, 2026 at 12:30 PM EDT. The market resolves Yes for whichever team wins the match.

Frequently asked questions

Prediction markets and traditional sportsbooks price events through different mechanisms. Sportsbooks set odds based on internal models and risk management, then adjust for volume and liability. Prediction markets like those tracked here rely on continuous trader participation and real-time supply and demand. This market's odds reflect aggregated trader belief rather than a bookmaker's margin, often producing sharper, more responsive pricing as new information emerges. Direct comparison requires converting between formats, but prediction market consensus frequently aligns with or precedes major sportsbook line moves.

Polymarket and Kalshi may price this market differently due to variations in user base, liquidity depth, and contract design. Polymarket and Kalshi can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Each platform attracts traders with distinct risk tolerances and information sets, and order-book dynamics can create temporary spreads. Additionally, the specific outcome definitions—such as map-round totals versus match winners—mean the two platforms may not be pricing identical propositions. Monitoring both venues helps traders identify mispricings and understand where conviction is concentrated.

Key catalysts include team roster changes, recent map performance data, and head-to-head results leading up to the Urban Riga Open. Player form, injury reports, and tactical adjustments announced before the match can shift trader sentiment significantly. Live in-game events—such as early round outcomes or momentum swings during the match itself—will drive rapid repricing on this market. Additionally, broader esports news affecting either team's confidence or preparation may influence final odds closer to the scheduled start time.
