This market tracks the outcome of the Counter-Strike quarterfinal matchup between Alliance and Team Nemesis in the XSE Pro League Playoffs best-of-three series. On Polymarket, Alliance to win is priced at 100.0%, with resolution determined by HLTV.org. The match is scheduled for July 9, 2026 at 7:00 AM ET, and that date marks the event window during which the series will be played and the market will settle.
This market refers to the Counter-Strike Quarterfinal 2 match between Alliance and Team Nemesis in the XSE Pro League Playoffs, initially scheduled for July 9 at 7:00AM ET. This market will resolve to "Alliance" if Alliance win the match against Team Nemesis. This market will resolve to "Team Nemesis" if Team Nemesis win the match against Alliance. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://hltv.org. However, if https://hltv.org has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.
Prediction market odds and traditional sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and protect their margin, while prediction markets like this one are driven purely by trader consensus—no house edge or oddsmaker adjustment. This market may price outcomes differently than major esports sportsbooks because prediction traders have direct financial exposure and can trade continuously. Comparing this market's probability to published sportsbook lines can reveal where the crowd sees value or where sharp money is flowing, making it a useful cross-check for informed bettors.
On Polymarket, traders set prices by buying and selling outcome shares in an automated market maker system. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Each share represents a claim on one team winning the series, and the combined price of all outcomes always equals one dollar. As more traders back Alliance or Team Nemesis, the price of that outcome rises, while the opposing outcome falls. This continuous price discovery mechanism ensures the market reflects real-time conviction. Liquidity and trading volume directly influence how efficiently prices adjust to new information, so active markets tend to be more accurate reflections of true probability.
This market resolves around Jul 9, 2026, once the best-of-three series concludes and the winner is verified against credible public sources. The outcome is determined by which team wins the majority of maps in the XSE Pro League Playoffs matchup. Resolution occurs after the final map is played and official results are confirmed by the league or tournament organizers. Until that point, the market remains open for trading, allowing participants to adjust positions based on live match developments, team performance, and any other factors that might influence the series outcome.
Several catalysts could shift this market significantly before the series begins. Roster changes, player injuries, or surprise lineup announcements from either team would likely trigger sharp repricing. Recent tournament results and head-to-head records provide concrete performance data that traders monitor closely. Coaching changes or strategic adjustments revealed in practice scrims can also influence sentiment. Closer to match day, map pool selections and bans may reveal strategic advantages for one side. During the series itself, live map results create immediate feedback loops—early wins build momentum and confidence, potentially accelerating price movement as traders react to unfolding events.
